  1. Hey all, I applied for the new grad residency at UCH Colorado Springs. Start date Feb 2016. Haven't heard anything back yet....anyone else applying there or heard anything?
  2. Hey, I'm also moving to CO and applied for the UCH residency too! But I applied to the residency program in Colorado Springs. Still haven't heard anything from them, but I have 3 job interviews at other places....2 are home health and 1 is at a SNF. I don't even have a test date for nclex yet, so the fact that I'm already getting call backs seems really promising.
  3. I haven't applied through pearson vue yet, does that make a difference as to if I still need to withdraw my application or not?
  4. I am a student in California and I want to move to Colorado when I graduate (in 9 weeks). Do I need to wait until I graduate to apply for licensing? In CA you can apply before you graduate and then they process your application when your transcripts are received. Does it work that way in CO or should I wait until I'm closer to graduation? The site says that if your transcripts aren't received in a "timely manner" then your application will be cancelled. Also, I have already applied with the BRN in CA to get licensed but I haven't completed my pearson vue application yet. I heard that you can only get initial licensure in one state. If I do apply for a CO license, do I need to withdraw my application in CA or can I just ignore the ATT for CA and use the one CO sends me? Or does it not work that way? Or when I fill out the pearson vue application can I just declare CO instead of CA?
  5. You can find info on http://www.rcc.edu Go to the academic departments tab on the home page and click on nursing. Hope this helps and good luck to you. http://www.rcc.edu/departments/schoolofnursing/Documents/Enrollment/VN%20292%207-22-13%20VNProgram%20Info%20Sheet.pdf
  6. I got bundle 1 as it was the cheapest....it includes 4 of the texts that we need plus prepU access....the rest I ordered off of amazon...if there was a paperback version available then I chose that to save money, and I picked sellers that offered free shipping.
  7. This was such a great post...thank you OP! I am starting an ADN program in Feb and I couldn't be happier or more excited :)
  8. I think of you could only manage a B in anatomy you shouldn't take micro and phys at the same time both of those classes alone are harder than anatomy for most people.
  9. Cal State San Marcos does a prep class contact them
  10. Try http://www.cram.com it's an online flashcards exchange you can make your own for each section or search for and use some one else's flashcards if you think they're trustworthy.
  11. I took the TEAS V and there wasn't a lot of chem on the version I took....just the basic laws like boyles law and all stuff you could get from a high school class. I scored 100% on the science portion of the exam. If you use the ATI prep book you will be totally prepared for it.
  12. I think you have a good chance of getting in. I just got into RCC....my GPA was pretty similar to yours and I talked to other students who got in with worse GPA's....if you decide to apply to RCC my advice to you is to really really study hard for the TEAS....they accept students based on a points system and the TEAS alone is around 30% of the total points calculated.
