Hello everyone. I just wanted to start the thread for all the new applicants of RCC's Nursing Program for Spring 2014. This thread is to help each other stay current with old and new information about the program. Share your thoughts about the application process, teas V preparation, acceptance, and support group. Let the applications begin!!
I am leaning towards B too. If i chose B it's either Kaiser or Arrowhead.
Kaiser is amazing! They have every possible supply you can ask for and electronic charts. I did a clinical rotation there when I did my LVN. I was in heaven! I don't know anything about Arrowhead, except it's a teaching hospital.
Anyone know what cohort or clinical site they want!? I'm leaning towards B just because I will still need to work and I figured I can use that extra day off as my break/study/re charging day. The only thing is that the professors listed on there I am not familiar with....[/quote']I'm also hoping for B....who would pass up an extra day off? I work also. I just had my initial appt today at health services...I just need my 2nd TB read, my physical, and 2nd Hep B shot. Planning on having everything done by Friday except the second Hep B shot....have to wait a month for that!
I had almost everything already because I ready work at a hospital and needed most of those things. I'll be really relieved when it's 100% done! Honestly I'm stressing out more over just paying for everything like the books and uniforms and jus and ATI stuff. :/

Nice! Were you at specifically at the Kaiser in Riverside? Kaiser is a hospital I would want to work in so it would be nice to get clinical experience there to see how it is really like : ) I know Arrowhead more on the personal side because I was practically there for a week visiting. I did see plenty of student nurses there. Everyone was great there (in my experience).
So far I started doing everything last week. I already did my 2nd hep b shot. My titers just need to be read by the health services staff on campus, and do my 2nd tb. I'm upset because I KNOW I did my tdap at arrowhead, and now I cannot find that paper showing proof. I can't even find my cpr card! I think I am so overwhelmed I am forgetting where everything is LOL...Just did my backround check today. I really want the priority reg.I'm leaning towards cohort B also because I work as well. Hopefully we get what we want. How are the immunizations coming along?
How about you? Are you coming along well with all of your things?
Same here!! I am stressed cause I am forgetting where I placed all my stuff like Cpr card, tdap and all that Cause I had to do it for my cna course. So I know it's somewhere. Now that I need it I cant find it. GO figure LOL. But yeah I'm gonna look into loans because I am only going to work 2days that is not nearly enough to be covering expenses for school. I imagine that long book list is gonna be very very pricey! Either way the happiness of getting beats the cost :) I'm excited to start and get to meet you all!I'm also hoping for B....who would pass up an extra day off? I work also.
