Riverside Community College Nursing Spring 2014

Published

Hello everyone. I just wanted to start the thread for all the new applicants of RCC's Nursing Program for Spring 2014. This thread is to help each other stay current with old and new information about the program. Share your thoughts about the application process, teas V preparation, acceptance, and support group. Let the applications begin!!

Take the dosage calc class! You are required to pass their dosage calc tests with 100%, if not you remediate. Nothing scary but it's a hassle. :banghead:

Thanks a lot for the info!! :D I'm very excited about starting the nursing program! Would you recommend taking NRN-93 (calculations for health care providers) prior to starting the program?

We are getting in! I went through a lot of old posts and they usually take quite a few standbys. In one of the old post, they took everyone from the list plus two they originally denied. It would be wonderful to be already accepted, but that's not the case. We just have to stay positive and be happy for all of those who are already in, because we will be joining them. :)

You both will! :) Jan is the month that many other schools send out their acceptance letters, so just remain positive! :-)

TY. I try to be a positive person. :) I'm trying to figure out how many of us are on the standby list. When you were on it did you happen to ask?

Yes, I had asked ------------- but he said that it was against school policy to say our rank or how many people were in the stand by list. All he told me was that there was not a lot of people in stand by.

Thank you I had no idea.

Is anyone taking that dose calculations class? I signed up for it

Yeah, you might want to ask him again though.. Maybe he will at least give you an idea of how many people are in stand by. (: I heard from others that 15-20 are usually in stand by, but I am not really sure. Purdy also told me though that 15-20 applicants usually deny as well.

Do you know the class name/number? What are the dates and time for that class? Please let me know. I wonder if it is too late to sign up for that.
