Hello everyone. I just wanted to start the thread for all the new applicants of RCC's Nursing Program for Spring 2014. This thread is to help each other stay current with old and new information about the program. Share your thoughts about the application process, teas V preparation, acceptance, and support group. Let the applications begin!!
I'm just trying to keep my cool. I worked so hard in my grades like all of us did and it is just disappointing. I was told my rank on Monday, and I'm just frustrated. I know where I sit now and the waiting is just frustrating!! I have to breathe and relax. If I get in, i will nurture this feeling to hit the books hard for 2 years.
That's heartbreaking! I'm rooting for you! Hope it all works out

I understand. I Emailed him today to find out my rank and I'm waiting for him to get back to me. Knowing you are so disappointed with yours really bums me out. I must be really low. Does anyone know how many standbys there are total?
It's down to me and you isa92503
We are getting in! I went through a lot of old posts and they usually take quite a few standbys. In one of the old post, they took everyone from the list plus two they originally denied. It would be wonderful to be already accepted, but that's not the case. We just have to stay positive and be happy for all of those who are already in, because we will be joining them. :)
Hey guys!Congratulations to those who have been accepted and to those who didn't, DON'T be discouraged! Many have been in your shoes and have gotten in the next semester. For those who are alternates, I know in my cohort we got alternates 2 wks into the program so don't give up! I just finished my third semester (Nursing 21) and so this Spring 2014 I will be starting my last semester
:)! I have nothing but good things to say about this program, their faculty and staff. We have amazing professors, equipment and clinical facilities! It is a hard program but It's nursing school, there's nothing easy about saving lives. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Also, I am part of RCC SNO (Student Nurse's Organization) and we fundraise all year long. Please get involved, it will look great on your resume. I know a couple of you have questions regarding what stethoscopes or equipment you need. You are required to buy a "medical bag" which includes all of the essentials but the quality isn't great. We have a website from which we fundraise by selling different medical equipment that is great quality. I'll include the MDF website on here but if you have any questions please feel free to email me. Good luck and hope to meet you all very soon!
