Published

i can only name the 5 r's, can you give me the rest? thanks in advance

I have never heard of 18

There are 5. Some say 7 because they tack on "reason" and "documentation". Who told you 18??

of course you dont have to remember everything, you just hve to take note of those rights that would really matter, but if we go by standard wise, i heard that the R's in giving meds hve gone up to 18, if anyone happen to know these, pls share thanks

wont fall for what bro? good try? im just asking maybe someone here already knew the 18 R's in giving medication, before there were only 5, then became 10 R's, now i just heard from a lecture that there are 18Rights (too bad i forgot to write it down) that nurses must check b4 giving meds, im not trying to prove anything here.

When someone figures out 18 rights let me know because I have only heard of the 5.

Never heard of 18. But maybe when you see that person again you could ask what they are and let the rest of us know.

Specializes in MSICU starting PICU.

are you sure it doesn't have something to do with the patient's rights? I know there are multiple of those...not to sound dumb...just wondering if maybe the information was somehow miscommunicated
