I understand that most of you are quite worried. I know that OGP sent out a letter to all of you that you would be affected. But they messed things up for many of you.
Most of their nurses that they solicited in the UK are actually from the PIC countries and are currently working in the UK. They are the ones that will be affected, plus a few other countries added in.
You may find a slow down for a few weeks but things will then get done much faster for you.
Same thing that happened with the retorgression last year. One nurse from the UK started the process from the very beginning in February, and was in the US with a green card by the end of the summer.
Take some time to do some reading on this and save your sanity.
Is that the $380 paid to the Department of State? If so then yes, I paid it a few weeks ago. Its an absolute minefield out there, so many different websites given different stories. I sure am glad Im nearing the end (hopefully), its been a looooooong haul!!!!!!!!
yes I think that is the one
I'm sorry SD!! It's a nightmare! Guess we'll all have to hope that when the new Senate is sworn in they'll get things going again.Although I have to say the agency I'm with doesn't think we'll be affected for long, so fingers crossed firmly for all of us!
Thanks, Keeping fingers crossed. Been trying to explain this to hubby and he is trying to understand why things will slow down for PIC countries but speed up for everyone else, getting myself confused trying to explain especially when I don't fully understand immigration workings LOL
well. it has started for me, recieved email from lawyer saying I am caught up with retrogression and they will file packet 3 as soon as they are asked for the paperwork and then have to sit back and wait until things move again
Im really sorry, its the news Ive been dreading, the wait is just unbearable. Hope things speed up for you soon. Keep your chin up! :icon_hug:
Hai,I think this retrogression wont affect uk based applicants!. this is for PIC's.
Keep smiling. you will be ok.
It has nothing to do with where you are based, but 100% with where you were born. If you were born in India, and are living in the UK, you will be affected majorly.
And it is not just for people that are in those countries, but also anywhere in the world, determination is made by birth place, not where you were raised, or where you even hold a passport from currently.
