Purchase NCLEX-LPN at a local bookstore. Lippincott is what I used in 2003. there are so many books to choose from. read read read that's all you can do. get your hands on materials, or ask other nurses for resources. definently buy a pharmacology book. PDR book as well.
GOOD LUCK!

Go to any major bookstore and look at the various NCLEX review books that are available. Pick out the one that looks best to you. Many people use the Saunders review book; for the PN test it is 3d edition. You also might find the Prioritization book by Linda LaCharity and others useful for the Select All That Apply type questions. You might consider looking for a review course to help you with all of this. Good luck.

I would suggest buy a Saunders book, I would also suggest maybe a refresher course since its been a while since you went to school. I know that some community colleges offer them. Well in Fl they do.......
Lacresha, I would love to get together and study but Im in a fulltime job all day and then 2 kids and my wife at night...Im trying to figure out how in the world Im gonna do it...are you in Ohio by chance?sounds like the Saunders books are the way to go to get started.

I would say that after 15 years it would be benefical for you to have a refresher course at the very least. Things have changed so much in those 15 years that a simple readin of a book probably won't prepared you for the test
I bought a course from Annaleise/RN from her website but its just CD's and obviously no hands on. we have several colleges in the area that have refresher courses but none of those really focus on testing for licensure. I will definitely take refresher classes prior to taking employment as a nurse(i would think most employers would require me to) however I need something to help me pass boards too.

Your next stop would be a review course such as Kaplan offered! It is an expensive course, but it helps!
where do I find this Kaplan review course?
KapTest.com/NCLEX:typing
tried the kaplan site and they must be having some issues as the site wouldnt work for me. I found out last night that my cousin is graduating LPN school in 2 weeks and she is taking the HESI test today...I guess its much harder than the boards and if you pass it the boards should be no sweat. she gave me all of her notes from the first 4 quarters to go over as well as a couple LPN test books. a friend of hers gave her a practice test book from DAVIS and she told her most of the questions in that book were on her boards when she took them...
