Renewal cost of your license ?

What does your state charge you every year to renew your nurse's license ? Does that amount go up every year ? It is a shame we can't deduct it at tax time.

That $70 every year in Washington is a 40% increase from last year and all the years I've been a nurse here. A way to increase taxes from our "no new taxes" governor. And we itemize, so I do use it as a deduction.

Texas $50 every two years. If you were born in even year you renew in even. Vice versa for odd numbered birth years.

There is talk about increasing fee but it is not law yet.

$90 in Florida for 2 years. Mine's is up in July but it stinks because I've only had it for a year. It would have been nice if they would have pro rated it.

I have always deducted this on my taxes, it is professional expense and can be claimed as such.

The groundwork for the $20 increase was laid well before Gov. Gregoire was elected in 2004. I don't mind paying a couple extra dollars to fund the BoN and http://heal-wa.org/

LPNs in the province of Alberta pay $250/yr. Include . Is tax deductible.
