How is the registration process in Ontario, Canada if I am educated and had my work experience her in the Philippines? I haven't started the process yet because I don't know where to start things up. I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance to those who will respond.

You need to contact the college of nurses for the province you wish to live in and they will tell you what you need to do to become licensed. Each province has its own requirements and does it's own assessments. Be aware that most of the provinces(including Ontario)require a BSN for licensure as an RN.For Ontario contact http://www.cno.org/
Thanks for the info.
I have another question to those who applied in the state of Ontario. How was the process in application in Ontario? Is it fast? I just would like to have a general background or idea of it.

It takes as long as it takes.
I moved provinces a couple of years back and on one move it took nearly four months to get my permit number.
And if you are really serious about Canada, learn to call provinces, provinces. We don't appreciate being mistaken for the US

I also interested to apply for registration in Ontario. I have just emailed their office for an application package. I also considered applying in Alberta and BC. But most applicants from the Philippines were advised to undergo SEC, which I think would be costly. So I chose Ontario instead. Right now, I am searching any informations about Ontario.

i took me almost 9 months.you must a bsc in nursing.i sat for my crne feb 2009 still waiting for result
Hi nyabs, so Board of Nursing in Ontario consider the education here in the Philippines as equivalent from them? May I ask where did you graduate? What School? I have requested for the application package already and they told me that it will take about 3 weeks before I get it. I decided to try applying in Ontario because they dont require SEC as what Alberta and BC does.

Every application will be judged on their own merit so a lot will depend on what your transcripts say.

I'm a US educated nurse with BSN, it took 4 months for me for their approval to write the exam. my friend, who is in the same situation as me, educated in the US as an international, applied at the same time with me, it took 6month for my friend. So, it seems really a case by case in terms of processing time

Hi,
They evaluate each applicant individually .get your papers togather and see what the outcome is.
Good luck.
