  1. They do require BSN.. I do have a BSN, the original question was asking "if the BSN degree has to be 4 years total" With accelereated programs, you can finish BSN less than 4 years.
  2. I'm a US educated nurse with BSN, it took 4 months for me for their approval to write the exam. my friend, who is in the same situation as me, educated in the US as an international, applied at the same time with me, it took 6month for my friend. So, it seems really a case by case in terms of processing time
  3. Yes, Houston is full of hospitals.. nice ones :)
  4. I don't think so, if your passion is aged care, go for it. I have a friend who started out in a nursing home, He loves to take care of his residents :) Cheers!
  5. zakuro, I got your PM. I am not allowed to PM yet, I don't know why but I guess there should be 15+ posts to start PM anyone :) I wonder if you can PM me your email. Will find a way :)
  6. I finished 2nd degree accelerated nursing program which was 15 months in NYC. I am an international student also here, finished my OPT as an RN, recently registered in Australian Board of Nursing. I had NO problem what so ever. I know it's all case by case, but don't worry and go ahead apply. Don't be discouraged. I read so many negative comments saying "no" to such and such. But things could work out easier than you think sometimes. Warmly,
  7. Hi, Joyfull26 I have some questions for you. I'm trying to go to Aus with working holiday visa as you. And on my way to processing with WH visa and License application. I wonder how long it took for you to get licensed? I am applying to Queensland. Did you need any other requirements other than transferring license? I have BSN and been working for about 9 months so far on a surgical floor. All hospitals require at least a year experience? :) I look forward to your advice. Thank you so much!
  8. Hello? I will be very grateful if anyone can give me some info about these two hospitals' new grad orientation? Any piece of information will be very helpful. Thank you so so much!!! :w00t:
  9. Hello? I am wondering if anyone has started working at Bellevue Hospital Ctr in NYC as a NEW GRADUATE. Could you tell me how long and how was the orientation? I do not mind even if you started as an expereinced nurse. Just want to have a sense of the hospital's work environment for novice nurses. Thank you so much in advance!
