They do require BSN.. I do have a BSN, the original question was asking "if the BSN degree has to be 4 years total" With accelereated programs, you can finish BSN less than 4 years.

I'm a US educated nurse with BSN, it took 4 months for me for their approval to write the exam. my friend, who is in the same situation as me, educated in the US as an international, applied at the same time with me, it took 6month for my friend. So, it seems really a case by case in terms of processing time

I don't think so, if your passion is aged care, go for it. I have a friend who started out in a nursing home, He loves to take care of his residents :) Cheers!

I finished 2nd degree accelerated nursing program which was 15 months in NYC. I am an international student also here, finished my OPT as an RN, recently registered in Australian Board of Nursing. I had NO problem what so ever. I know it's all case by case, but don't worry and go ahead apply. Don't be discouraged. I read so many negative comments saying "no" to such and such. I wonder how long it took for you to get licensed? I am applying to Queensland. Did you need any other requirements other than transferring license?
