could anyone tell me how long roughly to get a permit for nclex from vermont ,coz i sent all of my documents to them last month.im a filipino nurse working in uk at the moment.so please help me.

i answered it with a yes... i emailed vermont how to treat those questions and vermont people answered pretty fast... they are efficient.....

Hi guys, i am planning to take NCLEX-RN through state of Vermont. Actually, I was graduated from Indonesia. from this forum i understand that vermont doesn't required cgfns certification to get license RN. But when i download the application i read this sentence below:

"If your Nursing Education language of instruction, and textbooks for the nurse's program you attended were not in English you must apply first to CGFNS. You may contact them at: 215-349-8767"

this senctence make me more confuse because the language instruction in my school wasn't english. what its means "must apply first to cgfns"? do i have to take cgfns examination first? what shall i do for this? can i directly send the application to vermon board?

the answer will be usefull for me.

Hello Alice, I have the same problem , I would like to apply through Vermont now because threee months ago I started New York way (CVS-NY and sending the forms to the Board) and I have no news from CGFNS, still waiting required items it says, so as I do not have patience I am going through Vermont state, but cannot understand the requirements because they say what you stated in your post, I mean: send your license, your school send your transcripts (should they be translated also), but it also says in the upper right of the web page if you are foreign trainee you must contact CGFNS (what for?) do they required Certification program?CES?

I have called but maybe they were too busy because the answer was the requirements for you are in the web page http://www.......

By te way, is there any problem with what I am doing I mean applying two states at the same time?

You can apply to many states as you want but you'll just waste money if you will not work there.......BTW, I've checked the Vermont webpage but I haven't read about fingerprinting like other states do. Is there really no fingerprinting requirement?

they don't need any certificates.

all you need to submit along with your application are:

1. 2x2 recent photo

2. photocopy of current license

mailed by your school

3. verification of education form (filled up by your school registrar or dean)

4. official transcript of records

Hello just need some clarifications...so you mean I will be requesting my school to send in my otr directly to the BON of vermont..I thought that I would just let them complete the application and I will be the one to send it along my application..

Hi. Im an NCLex passer however I do not have SSS no. thus, my license is not release by the California board of nursing. It expires next year if I dont submit the SSS. no. Can I change my board of nursing and transfer my examination results to them? I cant use the endorsement licensing, can I do something to recover my license? Please help me.

You cannot use the endorsement application since there is no actual license to endorse. You will need to go thru the License by Examination procedure, but instead of taking the exam, you can have CA BRN forward your scores to the new state.

You do not have a license to recover, it has never been issued.

hi! about the NCLEX in New Mexico, I already emailed them last month about the fingerprint card... until now they are not replying to my email... Im also a newly grad of BSN and no license yet coz the result of the June 2006 BE is not yet released... so is it possible for me to work in US if I already passed the NCLEX in NM?

I've heard that if u want to work to another state by the endorsement.. I have to take the endorsement exam.. is this true?

What states aside from NM are entertaining no license nursing grads?

I attended different agencies' orientation here in the Phils for the NCLEX exam for the states of CALI and Vermont... but they are requiring license and experience... so i guess I should do it by myself....

I just want to know if do i need to request for their application form or the downloadable form is enough... Cali will take forever so i guess Vermont is better... coz they are not requiring local license and no fingerprint card as well...
