Thanks God you finally back again, I miss you suzana. since you suggest me 2 months ago not to take cgfns, i tried to think which one should i take and finally i decide to take NCLEX-RN through state of Vermont. Suzana Actually, I was graduated from Indonesia. from this forum i understand that vermont doesn't required cgfns certification to get license RN. But when i download the application i read this sentence below: "If your Nursing Education language of instruction, and textbooks for the nurse's program you attended were not in English you must apply first to CGFNS. You may contact them at: 215-349-8767" this senctence make me more confuse because the language instruction in my school wasn't english. what its means "must apply first to cgfns"? do i have to take cgfns examination first? what shall i do for this? can i directly send the application to vermon board? the answer will be usefull for me. thanks for your kind assisstance Alice

Dear Suzana, first of all thanks again for your information. basicly i haven't sent the cgfns application yet because i have to make sure all of the information which state required cgfns. as i read from the website i can work in the u.s. with temporary license or temporay permit by passing the cgfns and english test, but to get the permanent license i have to take and pass the nclex-rn. my point is i can enter to u.s. by green card because one hospital who hire me will help or promote me to get the green card eventhough i only get cgfns and english test ((visascreen certification). suzana this is my reason why i keep intend to take cgfns test. do you have any suggestion or comment? is this acceptable to some state in the u.s.? thanks before alice

dear Suzana first of all, I would like to thanks for your information. BTW I still keep intend to take cgfns test through other state, because I live in south east asia and i am afraid that i don't have enough money to go to hongkong for NCLEX-RN test. Therefore, please inform me what other state doesn't need cgfns but directly to nclex-rn, so i can enroll to the state that must required cgfns. and what material (books and cd) is the best to prepare myself for cgfns test? Dear Suzana, from your answer that "no longer cgfns test, but only credential evaluation" what is it mean? is it mean CGFNS test will be closed because there are NCLEX-rn test center in out side the U.S. such as hong kong, soul, london and others contries for next years? btw i intend to take cgfns on July 2006 through NY. I am going to start my study because i just pass the ielts.
