Good luck Tanita, I guess you are right about saying about the exam, it is very different in each country Embassy, but when I applied there were only USA to take NCLEX, anyway bring all your documents which support that you are in the road to America and no desire of going to any other country Really wish you luck, and please share your german experience with us

I understand your fears about Visa, unfortunately I have to tell you my experience, I also was sitted to NCLEX 2 years ago, but my Visa petition to USA was refused, and all was lost, now that there are other countries where I can take NCLEX Ive started again, so my advice is to make every possible effort to get Visa approval, show you have lot of money, a job in your country that you have no intention to leave, you are just going as tourist, no comment about exam at all, you have no intention to stay in Germany illegal I dont know if it is different but in Southamerica if an Embassy denies you a Visa petition, it is very difficult (impossible) that you obtain visa in at least next two years Good luck, by the way Im plannig to go to Germany too, so if you get to know something let me know

Hello friends, seems like we are all in the same status...waiting I´ve applied to NY in march 3rd, my CGFNS status says waiting for required items, but I called my school and Nursing Licensing Authority and they told me that They have not been asked anything from any US office Now I am losing my mind and Iam thinking of doing it through Vermont, I have already take all CGFNS services : CP, VSC, and Iam taking CGFNS exam in july, so, what do you think will passing that examination help in any way? or just go and start Vermont BON, to sit for NCLEX I understand that with CGFNS and IELTS I will receive my visascreen , can I apply for a Greencard with that?or I am going to still need the NCLEX for anny state license to get a job offer? This New York paperwork really takes too much, in what steps you suggest theyre the fastest? immigration paperwork or some other?because Im really dissapointed of this speed My goal and hope is not to be in the US but to get my Greencard or something very close to it, like Embassy interview by March-April next year , Do you think is possible? is that a realistic goal? Hello Alice, I have the same problem , I would like to apply through Vermont now because threee months ago I started New York way (CVS-NY and sending the forms to the Board) and I have no news from CGFNS, still waiting required items it says, so as I do not have patience I am going through Vermont state, but cannot understand the requirements because they say what you stated in your post, I mean: send your license, your school send your transcripts (should they be translated also), but it also says in the upper right of the web page if you are foreign trainee you must contact CGFNS (what for?) do they required Certification program?CES? I have called but maybe they were too busy because the answer was the requirements for you are in the web page http://www....... By te way, is there any problem with what I am doing I mean applying two states at the same time?

Hello Suzanne , sorry but Im losing my mind, Ive applied to NY and CVS-NY in CGFNS but I do not have any news and there was three months ago, in CGFNS they have not yet asked for my documents (I have called my School and National Board to ask if there were any request from US) and that seems too long to me, I thought New York would be faster, Now in my desperate situation Ive just look Florida Board web page and it says all they need is 2 steps: the CES and you to pass NCLEX (apparently that will be enough proof of proficiency in english) not even ask for TOEFL Please give me advice I dont care about paying for CES but I want to get in US in the quickest time, do you think that starting now the CES is silly because it will take too much time too? in the web page the CGFNS say it takes them 8 weeks to process CES and in the Florida Board just after 10 days they receive the elegibility they send my ATT, so it will make 10 weeks and then all is done (I guess), should I look for another State Board which you can then endorse to almost any state? Sorry but as you see I m desperate

I am outside US not even have a non immigrant (tourist visa) should I mark any of them or leave it blank?? Unfortunately New York Education Department only accpets Money orders isnt it? well it would be easier if it could be paid by creditcard in the internet

Hello, sorry, but it seems that I have forgot something (important) I have applied and submit forms for CVS-NY, but havent send the Application for licensure for New York State yet, should I send it right now or can I wait CGFNS to accept my CVS?

Thanks for the answer Suzanne, I was about to send the Authorizations for Validation of License and Transcripts signed and also enclose in the envelope the official documents which I actually have in my hand... so you are telling me not to do it because it would be a waste of time and documents, aren´t you? So, I only have to send the authorizations? Hello, sorry but Im a bit confused Ive been reading this forum and it seems that I dont understand it well, I have applied for the Certificate Program in CGFNS, and now I´m going to start the CVS-NY, I understand that I do not have to send or ask my Nursing School to send transcripts or other documents, because that work will be made for the CGFNS. But I have just called CGFNS and they told me that my School and National Board must send my transcripts and license, .....what should I do? Are you sure I do not have to send or ask my school to send anything? or maybe the person that I talked to misunderstood me and I should call back? thank you very much and sorry about being so....

sorry, but I forgot... I have been reading the requirements of different boards of nurses, and found that the CVS-NY is different from the CES and that I have to re-send (that is what I understand in cgfns web page) all my education degrees and credentials from my nursing school, which I think willl take long time Florida BON looks like easy, thy will make it in short time, but not sure about the SSN that is why I need your advice about other states, u know..me like everybody wants it the quickest thanks

Hi Suzanne, I got great news for a lot of the nurses who are always around the forum, look at the web of ncsbn. There are new international centers to take nclex. sorry, but im so excited!!:roll Now I can take nclex in Germany, Mexico and Canada, and so on, which diminishes my obtaining visa difficulties, so Im going to take NCLEX, but I have to register to a board which one you recommend as the quickest to give me my ATT, and also which are the boards that do not require a SSN (cause Im outside US) And after passing the NCLEX (TOEFL is done) what should I do, Does the state I applied give me a License and with that Can I go to the US embassy to ask for my visa? I am not sure but I think that passing NCLEX is by far quickest than getting visascreen and...you know. Or Am I misunderstanding you? Thank u for your help and advice kisses, Karin78
