Or, $7,500 if you just want her virtually. Good to know that negligent homicide is such a lucrative endeavor.

I committed a med error as a new APRN that ultimately led to death. That was many years ago but I still tell the story to new APRNs in the hopes they can avoid my awful mistake. I do not profit from this experience but I'm also fortunate to retain my job.

Perhaps this is what she hopes to do as well?

Specializes in Critical Care, ER and Administration.

I don't understand why anyone would pay to see her.

I would hope your approach isn't "yes, I did some things wrong but it was really the hospital's fault I did those things. I am the victim here".

yeop - modern nursing is definitely cultish and some folks respond to events like this by dialing it up

FWIW that conference title sounds like a thinly-veiled threat - IMO

If she really "owned" her role, she wouldn't have the chutzpah to monetize her negligence.  Shame on the people who pay her.

I wonder if that risk manager would approve of hiring her if she had a license again.

"We appreciate RaDonda Vaught for not only sharing her personal story at Missouri Hospital Association's Annual Convention, but also taking the time to interact and connect with our members!"

Imagine pushing negligent homicide as a simple mistake.  Yikes.

It's essential reframing because it helps the negligent person and minimizes (obscures) what she did

The real issue isn't what she did, but what resulted from what she did - Mrs Murphey's horrific and completely avoidable death is the story, her actions are just the explanation
