Wish they would have said "I am sure some experienced divorced slightly overweight nurse will be happy to let you spend some cash to go dancing" Celebrate is too vague to interest me in a date, please spell out what you might be suggesting. LOL Geeze and what nurse would want to date some divorced doc, the ex is getting all the money so you would need to bring your credit cards along.
Misserella hit the nail on the head. Rather than being a put-down, it was a woman (and former nurse, now transplant coordinator) putting the flirting ex husband (who had cheated with a young nurse during their marriage and was now dating her) in place. Although there is the gratuitous doctor-nurse relationship, the nurse in question acts secretive and embarassed about it. . .a start I guess.
I actually think this show does a better job then most of showing nurses as an educated part of the care team. For example, in the last episode an experienced scrub nurse tried to point out a mistake to a fellow during a transplant and when he blew her off, the chief of staff read him the riot act and pointed out how many hundreds of surgeries she had been a part of, compared to the fellow.

They are starting to do previews of fall shows. There is a show coming out about a heart transplant unit. It has "heart" in the title but can't remember exact name. I was watching a preview, it had two recently divorced doctor speaking to each other. He said, "I just paid off my mortgage, I was going to ask you to celebrate with me but then I remembered we are divorced." She said, "I am sure you could find a nice young nurse who would love to help you celebrate". :angryfire That is one fall show that is already crossed off my list.
