"Gift" Ideas

Published

SO, I'm expecting kids to be bringing gifts in a couple of weeks and, even if they didn't, I'd love to have little Christmas handouts for my kids. I know, I'm cheesy like that.:)

But, considering, I have nearly 400 kids it would need to be a small, inexpensive gift and I'd prefer it be something healthy and definitely cute. I'm insanely uncreative and that's why I'm asking for ideas. Got any??

I thought Clementines would be nice but even 400 of those would be pricey. But, say I gave out small oranges or another type of fruit, what would be a cute way to package them up in a Christmas-y way??

I'm getting ready to check into Pinterest for some cutesy ideas.

I use a large jar and they use q tips, they know they risk amputation if I catch them with their fingers in it!! LOL!

I don't even let them use Q-tips, *I* use the Q-tips and hand it to them! It's worked so far.

We have tubes of Vaseline, and I hand it out on a cotton swab. Doesn't seem to icky in that way.

i have a vat o' vaseline for my use with applicators. for lips, i found very handy dandy packets of lip balm at school health at a reasonable price. I throw them into the baggies of bandaids for the teachers that will take a supply for their classroom to cut down on one more type of malingerer

I never even thought to look for that! You have just turned my life around, haha. (Of course with my luck I'll find that lip balm is considered a medication in my district.)

Well, not to throw a wrench in this, but what about what Dr.Oz says about how bad petroleum-based chap-sticks are, health-wise?

Just curious if any of you had heard about that.....

Hey, does Dr Oz eat it or something?

No, he says that by using it, WE are ingesting it, repeatedly. He recommends non-petroleum based products.

I trust Dr Oz about as far as I can throw him . . . anyone who advertises for "miracle" weight loss is more interested in money than true science.

they're just vitamin e, beeswax and mineral oil and coconut oil and a little pomegranate flavor (unknown if it's natural). i can't imagine that anyone would take issue with them medically. I personally see nothing in these that's any more sinister than the vat o'vaseline - just a more sanitary way of doing things.

I used to do the vat of Vaseline but changed over to the same product you mentioned a few years ago! So much better!
