PVT failed!!!!!!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi everyone!!! I guess PVT is not that accurate anymore... my friend took her nclex on aug 2 and did the pvt several times and she went all the way to payment section so she thought she failed

But just last thu she received a letter staying she passed the board...

I'm so happy for her that she passed but disappointed at the same time Coz it seems like pvt doesnt work anymore

i took the NCLEX last week and had a ton of select all that apply, delegation and prioritizing questions.. after the test i went home and tried the PVT and it took me to the CC page! i thought i was doing well because in nursing school i was told that SATA, delegation and prioritizing questions were "higher level". ugh!! i don't know what to think!

Eve n for me also pvt was right. Two times i had taken NCLEX and twice it took me to credit card page. And i did not believe. I waited for 48 hrs, but result is fail.

Apparently the whole "SATAs and prioritization means you're doing good" belief isn't true. Everyone's test will be different. I only had around 6 SATAs, 1 ECG, 1 order, and 4 prioritization questions.

It is still true. You still have to continue to do well on those questions. Also if you miss too many safety questions you will fail.

I have heard differing stories regarding SATA. Those are generally 'alternate item questions' while Priority questions tend to be normal multiple choice questions, but are considered 'higher level' questions because it goes to patient safety and physiological integrity. I know people who passed NCLEX with minimal questions and very few SATA, and people who have failed with their test being almost half SATA. Every test will be different. There are thousands of questions in the NCLEX test bank. I would suggest reading the NCSBN NCLEX test plan, it breaks down true 'high level' questions. I don't think it has any bearing on the format of the question, more so the category of question (Safe & Effective Care; Physiological Integrity etc.)

The PVT when you get the good popup is very accurate for passing. If you get the CC page, then the best thing you can do is wait because even though you have likely failed, there's a chance that you have actually passed.

The PVT has worked for everyone that I know. This is over a 2-3 year time span I'm speaking of. I have heard that sometimes the PVT doesn't work when "delivery successful" isn't reflected on the Pearson VUE registration screen to the far right of the testing details. Therefore, if you were to try the PVT prior to the "delivery successful" message, then the PVT may be inaccurate. It makes total sense to me.

Everyone I know that tried it got accurate results. Only one classmate refused to try it, she told everyone "it won't let you register for 45 days pass or fail" But I think it will, because scheduling within 45 days isn't the same as testing within 45 days, and I believe some states are not 45 days for retesting? Oh well some people are just always doubters!!

Remember all! The NCLEX contains "pre-test, unscored questions" embedded throughout the exam that you will not be able to differentiate from any of the others. So don't panic if you see something that you've never heard of before. Those questions are for the writers of the exam to determine if they will indeed be implemented into future exams as scored questions.

OP, I stated on another thread that I went all the way to the CC page, then had to put in the information...I had to act like I was re-registering before I got the "good" pop-up...The pop up, prevented me from confirming information. I had a friend guide me through the process. The posters DID NOT believe me...there is another thread where they stated the SAME thing. The OP of that thread and I am in the sane state. Not everyone who registers for Pearson VUE is registering for the same state; so perhaps it's a matter of registration format??? *shrugs* FWIW, it's just better to wait, or get the quick results.

Hi. I was browsing through and i just wanted to know what your final results were :)
