@Happyful do you still have the direct number of the manager at CA BRN? Or the back-door number that you mentioned? I've been trying to contact the BRN regarding my application but can't get a hold of anyone

Dee Dee 619, I did. Unfortunately, they wanted me to study again to be eligible for CA license. They said my BSN degree in the Philippines didn't meet their requirements. I tried to fight for it. I did a lot of research but it's still a "NO". So I did what they told me to do. I'm graduating in few weeks. I'll suggest for you to do the same thing.

Do you guys know if the PVT status can change on weekends? Coz as what I mentioned in previous post, my mom took her board last Wednesday. Since that day her PVT says "The candidate has exam results that are hold." Someone told me that Pearson usually puts the result on hold from 48-72 hours. Today is her 3rd day after taking her test. Do you guys think it's because it's weekend today?

Yeah she's really anxious. This is her 4th time taking the nclex. But yeah, the only thing that we can do is wait. Anyways, thank you so much for the info. I really appreciate it.

Thank you so much for your quick response. I just talked to her and she said she didn't experienced any power glitch or problem with palm scan. She did used the restroom once and accessed her locker for less than 5 mins just to drink and take a little bite of food. She said the lady was watching her the entire time.

Hi everyone, I am posting in behalf of my mom. She took her NCLEX-PN here in California yesterday. She finished the test in 3 hrs but she couldn't remember what number she stopped. I tried doing the PVT right after she got home and she's getting a pop up that saying "the candidate has results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be made at this time." I read the previous posts and I found out that it's either her transcript is being reviewed or there's a problem with her fingerprint. I'm thinking maybe it's the transcript coz when I registered her at pearsonvue's website I just guessed the month of graduation coz she couldn't remember when was the exact month her LVN program ended. Does anyone of you have experienced this? How long did you guys have to wait before this pop up changed? Hope you can answer these questions. We're both anxious if she passed or failed. This is her 4th time taking the test. I really hope that she passed this time.

Oh i see! Thanks for the info. I was under the impression that diploma RN is the 30-unit-option RN. My director is not 100% sure about it too. She told to ask someone from the BRN but that person is taking a long time to reply.

Thank you so much Elkpark! Does it says in your California license that you're a Diploma RN or not? Coz I'm about to finish my program but I want to apply for a license now using 30-unit-option. The director of our program is discouraging me coz according to her there will be a note online as well as on my license card that I'm a non-degree nurse. I don't know if I should believe

Hi everyone, I know that the major limitation of the 30-unit-option or diploma nurse is not being able to endorse the RN license to some other state. But I'm just wondering if it says diploma/non-degree nurse to actual license card? Hope someone can answer this question. Thanks!

I'm not sure if you're already in the program but I would suggest to look for another school. I went to CNI for my RN. To be honest, a lot of my classmates feel like CNI is not giving enough training to their students. The clinical sites are not even that great and most of the instructors goes to their classes unprepared. But in fairness, they also have smart and knowledgeable instructors but you can easily count them with your fingers of your one hand.

Cni college in Orange and Stanbridge college in Irvine just opened ADN program. It's way cheaper than WCU. I believe 65k including all the prereqs.. Yeah it is ADN not BSN but you can transfer your ADN to Western Governor University for BSN which is a lot cheaper than doing straight BSN to WCU

I did my appeal and BRN stands with their decision. I spoke to the manager and she explained all the reason why they couldnt accept my application. She was nice and answered all my questions in a professional manner. (Not like my analyst that would just say no to my questions without giving detailed explanation) So I just decided to move and maybe study again then come back to California.. It's really sad but I cant do anything about it anymore.. Those rules and regulations that they have been written for so many decades now and it is a must for them to follow those...

Well based on my experience when I took my lvn few years back and my rn last year I got the good pop up! And I passed! But as I said just last week, my friend got her license despite getting all the way to cc page
