I was taught 5, but just wondering what "polar" is?

Pulse and pallor give you info on pefusion, never heard of polar.

What is polar?

Specializes in DOU.

Polar = is the extremity cold to the touch?

We were taught to assess perfusion by capillary refill.

Specializes in ER/EHR Trainer.

We learned polyokio for skin temp-I like polar better. Could never remember the word and don't even think I spelled it right! Definitely a good thing to know!
