Providence TIP January 2022 (Los Angeles/Orange County)

Published

Hi all,

Starting this thread before the Jan '22 cohort application opens up today (hopefully soon!) I have all the required documents ready to submit, patiently refreshing and hoping the link to apply pops up soon. Let's all connect and keep each other updated on our application process. Good luck to everyone! :)

Hey guys ! Anyone get an email from a recruiter today asking if they prefer Saint Joseph Health or Providence Health ?

I applied to both, and didn’t think I would have to choose between either or because they are for different locations ! Is this normal to receive this email ? I received it from an HR recruiter. I didn’t know much about the differences but I chose St. Joseph because I’m more familiar with those locations !

Has anyone who applied to any LA locations heard anything? The application was supposed to close Oct 12 I believe but when I review my app it says: "Job Status: Active (Accepting Job Submissions)" so maybe they extended it?
Also for my submission status it just says: "We are reviewing your application - Updated: Sep 29, 20201"

Anyone have any updates ? LOL

Just hoping they'll call for interviews soon..

Same, I got a message asking me to pick OC or LA as we can only apply to one new grad program. I didn’t realize we couldn’t apply to both.

I know that’s kind of strange since they are for different locations ! Which did you choose? And which units did you apply for ? ?

I wanted to pick LA because higher pay and I heard Burbank is hiring a TON of new grads, so maybe better chances there. Ultimately I chose OC only because it is closer to home. I applied for ICU and ED.

Hey guys!! I also got an email to schedule for a virtual interview on Nov. 1st. I recently just passed my NCLEX and uploaded my updated resume for the interview that shows my license.

Does anyone know if having your license matters if they schedule you for an in person/virtual? I've heard other people getting scheduled for their first interview via in person.

Also, any insights on the hiring process like? I was told the interview is gonna be held in 2 rounds. I will update more once I hear back from this person who is in their TIP program haha

I just finished my video interview for St. Joseph Burbank, I was told that this will be a big cohort with 18 people for ICU including new grads. I'm am not sure about the other areas.

hey! how did your video interview go? I'm also scheduled for Saint Joseph Burbank in the ICU! Any tips would be appreciated!

Oh man ! I’m from NorCal so I really don’t know much about any of the locations. Do you know how much the pay difference is between LA and OC ?

I heard from a recruiter to send my availability for a phone interview last Friday and I still haven’t gotten any responses back. Is anyone experiencing this or does anyone have the recruiters number?

For which location? from my experience, they have sent a text and email with a link to schedule an interview

Has anyone who applied to l&d or postpartum been contacted for an interview? Wondering how big their cohorts are for women’s health this year. I feel like it’s so competitive.

Not sure but it’s from Mikayla. It was sent through the automated providence system (do not reply email) to email her personal email with availabilities but I haven’t heard from her yet. There was no link or anything.
