Providence New Grad 2024 Cohort

Updated:   Published

I just wanted to create a forum for those applying to Providence TIP RN Residency  program for new grads applying to the 2024cohort. I know the application opens soon, so I wanted to create this forum so we can discuss the application process, interviews, and more!! ☺️

Hi guys. I had an interview today and received an email stating that I could move onto to the next stage of interviews and the event is a meet and greet. Anyone have any knowledge about this event? Also, does everyone get invited to the event or is it really only people they select? I'm being a little self-critical and downplaying it LOL.

LCM San Pedro or Torrance? How was the interview?

So, I am confused Torrance sets up a meet and greet and then schedules and interview later on in the future ?

Torrance! It was okay. Panel of 3 department heads and they make you present a case study. It was a little scary but I got sent an email like 20 mins ago saying I could go to the meet and greet.

you interview first and then they select you to move on to a second round I guess which is a meet and greet and then after that they will send out offer emails

Oh okay, that's a good sign! What units did they offer you?

I also got an invitation to the meet and greet. I believe they invite quite a bit of people to these meet and greets. maybe theres a certain threshold of points that you need to get in order to receive an invitation? im really not sure.

If you don't mind sharing, what was the case study like? Like do they assign you a case and you work on it or you choose the topic? Was it verbal or writing LOL super nervous..

they don't offer you units yet. But they did ask me what I was intereted in. I guess @ the meet and greet we will meet the nurse leaders from the departments that we want and somehow make an impression on them.

They already have the case study there for you. You get 5 mins to look over the information on the paper and then theres like 4 questions that you have to verbally answer in front of them. They give u a piece of paper so u can take notes though

I kind of dislike how this feels like applying to nursing schools/programs again ? but good luck to everyone!

for the Torrance interviews, was there a situational question you felt stumped on?

Does meet & great mean you'll get an offer?
