Issues working in your facility
Not sure which forum i should put this under .. How do you guys deal with short staffs? May it be at the LTC or hospital? Also, what do you do with staffs who are not working well such as, staffs who dislikes you, talks about you or even staff to staff who don't get along? Just wanted to know what your opinion/stories and solutions are out there. Any issues/situations that happened when you were a nurse, pls share. I'd like to learn something.

Quality Assurance
I'm not much of an IT woman but i prefer writing or typing it down just cause it's more personal and no one could hack into my cno acct (i'm sire its protected) but still, just a preference.

Quality Assurance
Trish how do you do your evaluation part? Do you give your coworker your sheet and she fills in the evals or do you fill it in? And does your coworkers name be on it?

Quality Assurance
Can someone show or assist me in the Quality Assurance program in Ontario? I've read the CNO website and just wondering if we require a paper feedback from our co-workers or is a verbal feedback okay? And thats what you write under evaluation i think it's called on your sheet? You may PM me if you're not comfortable of posting it. Thanks!

Rpn to bscn bridging
I didn't fail any of classes in the PN program I just want to re-take the courses that I got low grades on to be able to do bridging.
-
Rpn to bscn bridging
Say if you are RPN and did all the requirements, would it be okay to upgrade some classes? From what i can remember is, they dont allow any fail grades.

can RPN work as PSW??
My question is did you pass your cprne? If you did, that's great. It's your choice if you'd like to take the psw job just cause you're inexperience yet. Since you're from an agency, i would take that psw so you know what the bedside care would look like. if you decide you don't want the psw, you can ask your employer if you could shadow a nurse to see how a routine of a nurse goes. Just not sure how that's gonna work with agency.

Please help out. I am planning to take prerequisites at Mac this year while i'm working as an RPN Question: 1. Would it help to get into the bridging program at Mac if i do some prerequisites? 2. Any suggestions for prerequisites? 3. Anyone took this route? What was your experience like? Any tips? Advice? Suggestions?

RPNS - income taxes
Does anyone from Ontario RPN know what to claim on your income taxes? I heard one is your union (if you have one). Anything else? Thanks!

Before the Morning (Failed CRNE three times. what now?)
A friend of mine went through the same situation as you and all i could do to her was be there for her in times of sorrows but know that you STILL can be a nurse just like my friend. She took the CPRNE exam and passed. She is now a nurse and we both work together. All you need is a good friend to help you go through your situation and push yourself to achieve that dream. And as some of the ppl said, assess yourself first of you have any of those anxieties when you take tests. Good luck and PUSH! = Pray Until Something Happens!

Rpn to bscn
Does anybody know if you have been accepted in the rpn to bscn bridging program and passed all the courses in the 1 year period with the bridging, are you automatically registered for the next year (with the rest of the bscn students in their 3rd nyrsing)? Or do you have to re-apply to ocas and do the whole paying 95 again to ocas? Any advice! Thanks!

And any one who applied for the RPN bridging to RN at centennial/ryerson? Maybe we can get be friends? Since idk anyone from Centennial yet. Any input would be great guys!

End of shift guilt
Do you guys ever had an "end of guilt shift?" where you forgot to chart or you could have done something better to care for a patient or forgot to co-note a Dr order? Mine was when I was working for LTC on a night shift and i was busy on the floor and a patient was ill so I had to monitor her closely. I was checking all the orders and I somehow missed on one of the patients chart and the next day, when I found out that I missed it, I felt bad after. I'm not sure if there was a med error to it. Anyway, after coming home that day from work my guilt was killing me. Usually, I'd be happy to get home from work but somehow my guts tell e some else that idk. Did that ever happen to you? If so, I'd like to hear your story. How did you get over your guilt?

RPN > RN then FAIL CRNE?
LOL. But seriously though, what happens after?
-
RPN > RN then FAIL CRNE?
Hey guys just a thought, if you're an RPN now and pursuing RN and after you passed all your courses in the RN program then you failed 3 times on your CRNE exam, what happens after that? Do you stay as an RPN or do they provoke you as being a nurse?
