Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.

I've more then.once said something along the lines of it's a fair debate as far as how much credit Trump deserves, but he certainly has more to do with its success then Biden. And that comes from Biden touting his 100 million doses in a hundred days. We were already at that rate on inauguration day.
And, we are backsliding at alarming speed. I wonder what the administration is planning on doing about it?
LOL
Is that how you characterize it...OK then. It's delusional to think that Trump was on track to accomplish 100 million doses administered in 100 days...Trump's plan wasn't a federally focused plan...he wanted the states to figure out logistics, remember? Lots of people believe that Trump was depending upon the military to distribute vaccine and facilitate vaccination. Turns out, Trump is an unreliable liar
AP FACT CHECK: Trump distorts military role in vaccines
Officials dispute Trump’s claim that military is preparing COVID vaccine distribution

We can't stop talking about Trump as long as he is in control of GOP politics. Currently, Trump's partisan stooges are setting the stage in multiple states to broadcast at high volumes the lie that the 2020 election had fraudulent inconsistencies, found by the conspiracy ninja, which will justify the unconstitutional efforts to seize power for Trump in the following months. This gas lighting and dangerous indoctrination isn't going to go away if we just stop talking about Trump and what a disaster his presidency was.
I know we can't stop talking about Trump. We shouldn't.
But when someone mentions Biden and the vaccine why to we have to harp on "well Trump rolled out the vaccine and he gets the credit".
Or when someone mentions a "lie" or a gaffe from Biden why do we have to say "well you weren't concerned with Trump's lies were you?"

And, same for the Calif train. Was supposed to go from San Fran to LA but now supposed to go (still not actually going yet!) from Merced to Bakersfield because of the botched job they did. It's a total joke and might be funny if not for how much tax payer money they have completely wasted ( or otherwise misplaced!). Nobody in their right mind thinks Calif needs a high speed train between Bakersfield and Merced except inept politicians.
And wait, inept Dem policies coming your state soon!
But hopefully people in Cali have seen the light and will recall Newsom. Who btw is double checking all the signatures on the recall petitions. Hmm, OK to check for voter fraud now I guess. And, also they have put together a bill to release (ie dox) all the names and info of we the people who have signed the petition, kinda sounds like voter intimidation doesnt it.
Yep, no tyranny going on here.
Are you under the impression that there is no standard election security in place which verifies signatures and voting eligibility in this country? Is that what your comment reflects?
I think the failure of Amtrack is lack of upkeep and investment in modernization. Perhaps it might be too late. I sincerely enjoyed traveling in Europe and Japan via their high railway system.
America has a car and highway addiction, as well as airplane . I'm guilty. I've never considered a train when I've wanted to travel in the USA somewhere. My ex even took a plain from Tampa to Fort Lauderdale once.

Why not?
If someone spends 4 years telling me that they can't see the huge cockroaches, then all of a sudden starts calling everything except the original creepies cockroaches, that craziness deserves to be acknowledged. Each time.

It makes it looks like your eyes are blind to the cockroaches in your own house.
It doesn't make sense to me. "There are cockroaches in your house!". "You weren't concerned about cockroaches in your house!"

Let me explain it to you. Democrats did not want to double check the Presidential election votes (when Biden won) but must double check when Newsom might get recalled. See the hypocrisy there?
And not only that they are writing a new bill to doxx all the people who signed the recall petition and while it is still pending "allowing" people to remove their names from the petition. (Obviously trying to get back under the number needed).

I can't say but I'm pretty sure that states have the process of verification of signatures as part of the recall laws. During the recall of Republican Scott Walker in Wisconsin Republicans were loud and clear they wanted those signatures checked. Not many were found to be fake.
So what you call tyranny (sounds a bit drama queenish to me) I would say is a reasonable standard operating procedure or just plain old politics. Most likely as in Wisconsin, California is unlikely to uncover many fake signatures. It's my opinion that having this check and balance written in the laws or if not putting it in there would prevent fraud in the first place. Really if someone wanted to recall the governor what's to stop them from faking all the signatures other than honesty and a check and balance. Sounds reasonable to me.

Why double check for voter fraud in recalls but not elections. The tyranny was meant for the voter intimidation.

I seriously doubt that a state or any state on the West Coast needed a recount to prove that Trump didn't win that election. Did Trump demand a double check in California?
However where it was close and where Republicans wanted a double check, they got it such as Georgia checking three times and to their dismay three times the election still swayed in Biden's favor.
There are checks and balances in California for voter fraud as there are anywhere aren't there? I don't know, I don't live there. I live in Florida that handily went to Trump, no one demanded a double check here either.

didn't sound that reasonable after the Presidential election when Trump wanted the very same thing to prevent fraud did it?
