President Biden thread

Wow.  No one has started such a thread yet?

After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days,  apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.

Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week,  by the end of April.

Nah. You should expect to have radical or violent speech called out regardless of how many people try to kill Trump.

Perhaps you can offer some citations of them actually saying it, all the time. 

So, you're not debating that those remarks are dangerous rhetoric.  You're saying Biden and Harris haven't used that phrase.   At least in quite awhile. Biden since 22 and Harris since 19.  Is that right?

Concrete thinkers have a hard time with the idea of a continuum and relative intensity.

Either that or he's trying real hard to deflect our attention away from the consequences of trump's malice on the behavior of his cult.

ETA: I just heard a very interesting take on this particular ad campaign. The theory is that the ginned up outrage is intended to imply that any criticism of trump is an attempt to get him shot, thereby shutting down any attempt to expose his lies.

Check out The Bulwark on YouTube (a Republican talk show). The episode was posted today and is titled "JD Vance's lies prove he's psychotic (w/ Tom Nichols)”.

I'm trying to clarify.  @nursej22 is trying real hard to have us believe Biden and Harris haven't said that "Trump is a threat to democracy."

If there is nothing wrong with them saying it, why the need to argue that they haven't?

I'm not sure what your question is, here. I said, according to what I found with a quick internet search, the most recent occurrence when Biden used words like "threat to democracy" was in 2022, and Harris in 2019. 

If you can cite something more recent, I look forward to seeing it. 

I think we can argue about whether the word "threat" is dangerous. I think it's a matter of context. I also think there are glaring double standards about what is and isn't acceptable speech by presidential and VP candidates.

I agree with the notion that this is a right wing strategy to quiet the criticisms and correct assessments of Trump.  Somehow warning the people of a dumpster fire is the same as setting the dumpster on fire in Trumplandia.  It's not going to work.  

It reminds me of the head of the Heritage Foundation saying this Summer that there would be a bloodless revolution, if liberals allow it.

I think the 2 people who tried to assinate Trump are deranged. A symptom of listening to mainstream media and politicians spew hateful violent rhetoric for 7 yrs. 

Have any substance to your feelings and speculations?  Or only name calling? Isn't that what Trump does?

I agree. Violent radical rhetoric by the left media and politicians caused 2 mental ill people(allegedly mentally ill, perhaps you could provide your expert opinion) to try and kill Trump 2 times in 9 weeks. For 7 years people who have heard Trump is Hitler tried to kill him. Although apparently you wouldn't support the assination of Hitler (BS) others would.
