Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.

What's really noteworthy is that everyone knows that Trump is lying, yet his supporters will vote for him anyway while complaining about someone else's imagined or actual lies.
With today's college protests, don't think this will go over well UNLESS Fox viewers understand must have U.S. family.

White House considers welcoming some Palestinians from war-torn Gaza as refugees
QuoteThe Biden administration is considering bringing certain Palestinians to the U.S. as refugees, a move that would offer a permanent safe haven to some of those fleeing war-torn Gaza, according to internal federal government documents obtained by CBS News.
In recent weeks, the documents show, senior officials across several federal U.S. agencies have discussed the practicality of different options to resettle Palestinians from Gaza who have immediate family members who are American citizens or permanent residents.
One of those proposals involves using the decades-old United States Refugee Admissions Program to welcome Palestinians with U.S. ties who have managed to escape Gaza and enter neighboring Egypt, according to the inter-agency planning documents.
Top U.S. officials have also discussed getting additional Palestinians out of Gaza and processing them as refugees if they have American relatives, the documents show. The plans would require coordination with Egypt, which has so far refused to welcome large numbers of people from Gaza....

I would imagine quite a few might have family in Michigan. I worked with a number of Palestinians in the lower peninsula. They were well established families.

48% of the Gazans voted for Hamas. After that, they weren't welcome in any Arab country which don't want to be infected with Hamas. This doesn't unmake Bibi a war criminal but it is a reality that Israel has to live with every day. I'd me more comfortable with allowing orphaned children in full. Less danger for us but still carrying a full load to give these children all the therapy they are going to need. I say this knowing I might be crucified here for being cold but I'm not comfortable with a 50/50 chance of letting a terrorist in here. But, at least I would NEVER shoot a puppy or a goat and would be grateful do what I could for all these traumatized children.

All of us are wary of allowing a terrorist in as a refugee. The last terrorists just flew in with business or tourism visas and it seems likely (as a poker player) that a similar entry into our country would be used by the next terrorists.
I don't know that allowing Palestinian refugees into the country is a 50/50 risk of admitting a terrorist. Why do you think that? I mean millions of people voted for Trump too but they wouldn't rape a woman or try to break our constitution.

Trump isn't Hamas. They are different in ways I'm sure you understand. If there is a 50/50 chance of inviting a terrorist to move here, why take the chance when we have refugees all over the world to choose from.

The point wasn't that Trump isn't Hamas, the point is that neither are most Palestinians.
I think that when we treat refugees well they are less likely to maintain a war level anger and carryout a longterm terrorism plan. The women and children need a place to go.

This administration supports passing border security legislation. Considering how the republican party unilaterally stopped that bipartisan border security legislation (which looks for and stops terrorists), one might assume that their only concern about terrorists at the border might be if they could blame it on the democratic president.

We all know the current administration could do more immediately without any nee legislation. Nice try.
