President Biden thread

Published

Wow.  No one has started such a thread yet?

After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days,  apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.

Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week,  by the end of April.

He was a church going Christian and I'm sure thought of himself as a "patriot" but I'm only speculating.

Frankly, I don't care about his religion and seriously doubt that he actually thought about anything all. I see him as rage junkie chasing his high. I'm done with the threats and intimidation. Behavior has consequences ... faht around and find out.

That, too. Isn't it amazing how a certain fringe element thinks it has a corner on guns, god and small towns?

We don't know that he thought himself as a patriot for what he was threatening or that he was a church-going Christian.

Your speculation is irresponsible.

He described himself as a MAGA Trumper. They consider themselves to be very patriotic.  I guess in your world it's irresponsible to guess that he was a church going Christian.  There's not really much evidence that he a Christian in the articles I read, just that he was a very angry conservative.  That's so very common.

One of his encounters with authorities was after he finished church, so he was a church going person. He told them  to come back with a warrant and he wouldn't talk to them.

That he was a "Christian" is questionable, but reasonable to think he thought of himself as one.

His social media revealed he was a MAGA whom refer to themselves as patriots but I admited I was speculating.

I think my speculations are reasonable but you can think them irresponsible if you care to.  I respect your opinions even when I think you're wrong.

Hmm, I don't see where authorities encountered him after church.  Maybe you read that in another article you could reference?

He drove into the parking lot and went into the building for a short time of a Mormon church that happened to be across the street from his home.

I have a hard time believing that is confirmation of him being a "church-going Christian".

Utah man killed by FBI pointed a gun at agents before fatal shooting

Quote

A Utah man fatally shot by the FBI on Wednesday was armed when FBI agents confronted him at his home, a senior law enforcement official told NBC News. He pointed his weapon at agents and did not respond to their commands before he was shot and killed.

Officials said the FBI fatally shot the man, who was identified in charging documents as Craig Deleeuw Robertson, while serving a warrant at his home in Provo, Utah, on Wednesday. He had allegedly made threats against the president, stating he would need to prepare his camouflage and sniper rifle for Biden's visit to Utah this week. He also openly plotted online the assassination of Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan district attorney whose office is prosecuting former President Donald Trump.

The senior law enforcement official said the initial referral about Roberston and his threats came from the U.S. Secret Service to the FBI....

...Truth Social, the social media site founded and regularly used by Trump, also alerted the FBI in March about the threats Robertson made against Bragg on the site, according to a second senior law enforcement official....

FBI's killing of Utah man prompts questions from neighbors

...Residents ask if Craig Robertson, who could 'barely get around' but posted threats against Biden, 'warranted that kind of response'

A clearer picture is emerging of the 75-year-old Utah man shot dead by the FBI after they tried to serve a search warrant hours before Joe Biden arrived in the state on a re-election campaign swing.

But questions are also being asked as to whether Craig Robertson was a "credible threat", as the FBI claims, or as neighbors in Provo, Utah, have described to local media as a man harboring anti-government views who walked with a cane and liked to bluster and tell big stories, especially on social media.

Robertson had posted threats against the president, including asking whether Utah would become famous "as the place a sniper took out Biden the Marxist". He'd also urged Utah residents to fire their guns into the air when Air Force One arrived, the Deseret News reported....

Late last month Robertson posted a message: "Hey FBI, you still monitoring my social media? Checking so I can be sure to have a loaded gun handy in case you drop by again.”

On 6 August, three days before Biden's visit, according to a 37-page federal complaint, Robertson posted: "I hear Biden is coming to Utah. Digging out my old ghillie suit and cleaning the dust off the M24 sniper rifle.”...

...CBS News reported it was told by law enforcement that the man had engaged FBI agents in a gunfight when they attempted to serve a warrant....

Nyla Rollins, another neighbor, estimated that 50 agents were involved. "They called for my neighbor ... to come out. And he's like, 'I'm not coming out [expletive].’...

...Questions are being asked if the FBI's response was unduly harsh. "The FBI just came and shot an elderly man from my ward,” Travis Clark told the paper. "You know, a guy who's nearly 80 years old, 300 pounds and can barely get around with a cane.”

Despite his anti-government rhetoric, Robertson was described as the "teddy bear" in the church congregation who was so immobilized that he'd drive 200 yards to church.

Sure seems like his verbal actions lead to his demise, especially  report that TRUTH SOCIAL reported him to the FBI.

Do you know if the agents have recording? I tuned into Fox briefly while on an errand in the car and rhe host  said the guy was 5"4 and weighed 300 pounds and cared for his blind son.  I'm not wasting any sympathy for the guy but really 50 agents on site?  Don't they have anything to do?  I just hope there is video:(  Thanks for the update.
