Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.
Happy Birthday to President Harris.
"President Biden on Monday wished Vice President Kamala Harris a happy birthday, while calling her "a great president," a line that some online assumed was another gaffe, which has become synonymous with his administration. "

The BBC, which I sometimes listen to their podcas, has an international audience. They featured Biden today.
QuoteIf history - and current polling - are a guide, the Democrats will lose control of at least one chamber of Congress in the midterms.
That means President Biden, for the first time, would face aggressive oversight from Congress.
Already Republicans in the House of Representatives are making plans to launch investigations into his son's dealings with China. Also in their sights will be the Afghanistan withdrawal and immigration policies.
Internationally, the administration just released a new national security strategy document that outlines a ferocious competition between the US and its allies on one side and China and Russia on the other.
At home, there is the risk of economic recession and it will be hard to find ways to ease the pain of rising unemployment or high inflation.
The Biden government will also face lawsuits over its policy on immigration, student loan debt forgiveness and the environment. Any defeats would be a political blow as he gears up for the 2024 presidential election.
And there's no guarantee Mr Biden will have a clear path to the Democratic Party renomination - if the soon-to-be-octogenarian decides to seek another term.
His ability to handle all this will help determine if he can keep his rivals at bay now he occupies the top office he sought for nearly all of his adult life.
I believe there are a couple of Biden supporters here who are also gun owners. Can you tell us what he means?
"President Joe Biden said on Oct. 23 that he’s pushing a limit on gun owners having more than “eight bullets in a round.”

I'm not registered for the Epoch Times because it's far right, to find out what the article is saying. Why does it have to be Biden gun owners to answer your question?
His stance against high capacity magazines isn't new.
I don't know enough about guns but apparently it doesn't make sense to some people. Beirbert picked up the story and mentioned what he said and gave the context. “The guys doing these mass killings, they have magazines, they call them, that can hold up to 100 bullets in it. That’s just like having an automatic weapon, which we’re not allowed to have by the way, supposedly.” Beibert didn't ask what does it mean.
So my uneducated guess not knowing a thing about guns is that he's talking about limiting rapid fire magazines to 8 bullets instead of a 100. I could be wrong though.
Biden, apparently a gun owner himself, does want limits on assault weapons and a ban. I know a lot of people with guns. Probably more people have guns in my circles (liberal gay male democrats) than not. Gun ownership is very widespread across all political spectrums. But most are supportive of assault weapon bands. No one is "coming after your guns" or "trying to take away your second amendment rights".
Quote“Nobody needs a high-capacity magazine to go hunting any more than they need an armored tank to drive to work,” said Shannon Watts, founder of the gun control group Moms Demand Action. “Prohibiting them will save lives, and we stand behind President Biden as he calls on Congress to do so.”

Yes... apparently the cabinet of the 45th president was considering that amendment as his actions became more alarming and erratic.
Do you believe he would continue to trouble Republicans and our democracy today had he been removed for mental incapacity after he refused to accept his loss and started talking crazy?
One sign that conservatives are having difficulty with discernment is the use of "media" like Epoch Times. How can @Beerman cite and quote the Chinese, unreliable, far right outlet and expect to be taken seriously? Is this inability to find your grievance reported in actual journalism or is this lack of effort to look beyond immediate confirmation bias?
Garbage in = garbage out

When I start quoting the Chinese propaganda system as the artiber of truth, you will know it's time to institutionalize me:)

I know Ms. Pelosi had planned to introduce legislation that would have estabished a Commission on Presidential Capacity. Later, she and Mr. Schumer attempted to contact Mr. Pence urging him to invoke the 25th Amendment. And of course, there was much discussion here about it here. However, I don't recall it being discussed by members of Mr. Grump's cabinet. Perhaps you would provide a source for this?

Assuming for a moment that Mr. Pence did this, gained support from 8 members of the cabinet, and submitted this to Ms. Pelosi and Mr. Schumer, don't you think Mr. Trump would challenge this?
As for Mr. Trump's ability to "continue to trouble Republicans and our democracy." Considering that those that believe Mr. Trump's claims do so as an article of faith, it might strengthen their beliefs. For the majority, however, I don't think it would make much difference.

I think there is a strong chance that after midterms the wheels to get him out will start churning.
