Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.

I was wondering why they don't understand how the President has very little influence on inflation or the price of gas. I also proposed that people could choose not to understand or are misinformed by media.
I don't get out a lot due to me avoiding crowds. But in my limited interactions with people outside of my immediate family, I do hear that people in my community place the blame of high gas, housing, and food costs directly on the President. And they think that with the flip of a switch he can turn it around, but he is waiting until closer to the midterms so the Democrats will get more votes. I hear this on talk radio, in stores and restaurants, from patients, and from my in-laws. Placing full blame on Biden is just not accurate, and I don't understand why they feel this way.

Even simple minds predicted it was a bad idea to pass out stimulus checks, enhancing unemployment benefits, and other "pandemic relief spending" when the economy was already rebounding.
Many experts saw this, and they were correct in predicting that it made worse the inflation that was already going to occur.

And, Democrats haven't learned the lesson. They still want more spending.
Sure.
Of course, a great many people don't really ascribe to Sommers' thoughts about the economy anymore. His opposition to regulation of Wall Street, stimulus spending or efforts to improve economic equality in the USA is off-putting to many Americans. We could take turns cherry picking among his opinions to find the ones we like.

For all those "many experts" who thought it was a bad idea, I wonder how many people who follow/believe those experts, never cashed their checks, ?
"On Friday, Biden tried to comment on Florida’s new Parental Rights in Education law and came out with this word salad: “There’s nothing conservative about deciding you’re going to throw Disney out of its present posture because Mickey Mouse? In fact, do you think we should be not be able to say, you know, ‘gay’? I mean, what’s going on here?”

The NY Post is being particularly catty.
The Hill is reporting it as "Biden criticized Florida Republicans during a pair of fundraisers Thursday for targeting Disney after the company expressed opposition to a new state law restricting discussion about sexual orientation and gender identity in classrooms." and didn't seem to have any trouble understanding what he meant.

I used the money to donate to the food bank and the humane society, and to for auto repair to help keep a local mechanic open.
I did not feel like I needed the money, so many others did. I do know people who were unemployed who used the funds to cover the rent, keep food on the table and the lights and water on.

The financial consequences of changing the tax status of Disney could be eye-opening for the taxpayers of central Florida. It's really too fraught with consequences for DeSantis to be so flippant in his hissy-fit.

They're aren't being catty. They are showing the latest examples of his declining mental capacities.
Yes, people knew what he was talking about. Only because we knew the topic and what we were expecting him to say.
We knew what he was talking about only because, we knew what he was talking about.
He repeated, in his own way, the can't say gay line. Is he lying, or uninformed? Hard to say, isn't it?

They have a billion dollar bond debt that might fall on the county, which I don't think is a republican stronghold so DeSantis might not care.
There are many such districts in Florida. What's interesting is that he calls for the ending of special districts established prior to 1968 which coincidentally doesn't include the special status of Republican stronghold community "The Villages".
