Many leaders have been gifted with the cat nap in a chair.  Famously, JFK and Reagan were able to do this ...and Churchill.   Men are lucky enough to access an empty box in their brains.  Woman's brain has no such black hole.  Never heard if a woman who could pass out for 10 minutes at will.  Good for Biden to make the best of a few down minutes.

Fair enough. However there are other circumstances in his behavior. that might mean there is something going on with him. Fumbled word, forgets where he is, loss of thought mid sentence. Although those things happen to everyone at some time, it's when they happen frequently and are a marked difference from his baseline. 

The accumulative diagnostic tool. I'm not sure if you use it in the US. 

My true concern is that perhaps he is suffering from a temporary issue. Any number of things can cause those symptoms other than dementia. However if there is a total denial to even consider somethings up, those temporary issues could cause more or permanent damages for an otherwise acute issue. 

I don't want this to be true that he is suffering from something because I actually have a heart and would rather him than the current VP. 

Now that would be some scarry sh*t...

Biden looks and acts more presidential, even when accused of napping, than did his embarrassing predecessor.  

Where one first "sees" video of someone with their eyes closed for a minute is irrelevant to the subsequent hand wringing over the closed eyes, IMV. I thought that our President gave a decent speech and some agreements were achieved.  We'll see how that works out...talk is cheap. Some people would rather play politics than take this critical issue seriously.

Will you be reassured or concerned when he starts publicly bragging that his doctor tested his cognitive status and the test was difficult but that he passed? Will you be worried if Biden starts bragging about his intelligence or claiming that China respects him because of his very, very large brain?

Why would I be concerned for his cognition? I'd say he was being a boisterous a hole. A character flaw for sure but has nothing to do with his mental acuity. Before you say it, intelligence is not the same as cognition of you remember. So Trump being stupid as you will most certainly say, doesn't reflect his cognitive ability. 

I'd be impressed if Biden could do any of that without falling asleep or make a solid sentence.

No.  My examples were evidence that Trump has cognitive challenges and evidence of cognitive decline. The reality that Biden closed his eyes for a moment at a meeting isn't evidence of cognitive decline, character flaws or incompetence. 

You must have been impressed then, by Biden's speech complete with "solid" sentences and coherent train of thought at that meeting. 

I've expressed concern before that, like Trump, Biden is too old.  But so far, you haven't mentioned any concerns about Biden's health, cognition or competence that weren't MUCH BIGGER  and MORE OBVIOUS concerns for Trump.

I don't agree.  I'm pro climate change initiatives and I recently flew to the Southwest for vacation and I drive a car.  I don't think that makes me a hypocrite.  Right now it's how we travel from point A to point B.
