My daughter was a 27 weeker who spent 99 days in the NICU. We were fortunate to be able to visit her every day (well, I missed a few for being sick but MOM was there every day).
We took a ton of pictures of her from which my wife has done several scrapbook layouts. One of our lamentations was that all the pix are so harsh, both the lighting and environment but also the tubes and wires and stuff.
She did this painting from one of the pictures in an effort to soften the image and show the baby that we saw despite all the NICU trappings.
I thought I'd share it and let y'all see the softer side.
I said it once already, but she is very talented. The painting is beautiful and captures exactly what it was intended to. Makes me want to paint the picture I told you about.
