Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Ok, so I've heard that the Anatomy and Physiology coloring books by Kapit are really good, helpful books and I plan on getting them...but I was just wondering if you can give me some feedback on the following books..how helpful and worth the money they are:

1. "Stressed Out About Nursing School: An Insider's Guide to Success" by Thibeault Link

2. "How To Survive and Maybe Even Love Nursing School..." by S. Dunham Link

3. "NET Secrets" http://www.mo-media.com/net/

4. "Student Nurse Handbook: Difficult Concepts Made Easy" by Twiname Link

5. "Saunders Student Nurse Planner" by Susan Dewit Link

6. "Anatomy and Physiology Made Incredibly Easy" Link

Also if you know any other really good books for pre-nursing/nursing students...about nursing school, the NET, or prerequisite courses...stuff like that...I'd really appreciate it. Thanks guys!!

I have Anatomy & Physiology Made Incredibly Easy and have referred to it quite a bit. I'ts a good supplement to lecture and sometimes the illustrations help to turn on that "lightbulb" in my head.

I also have Saunders Student Nurse Planner and the jury is still out on that one. It seems a little too bulky to carry in my backpack and use as my weekly planner, but it is crammed full of helpful charts, tips, lists, etc. so it might be worth it to add that little bit of extra weight to my bag. I try to streamline the contents of my bag as much as possible.

I would be interested to hear from a nursing student who has used the planner and whether they liked it or found they used it a lot. .

I have "How To Survive and Maybe Even Love Nursing School...," it is a fast read and has some helpful hints, but I wouldn't say it's one of the best out there. If you're interested in reading it, you are welcome to my copy...if you send me a PM with a mailing address, I'll be happy to mail it to you!

So I just ordered a few books from Amazon...Got the Anatomy Coloring book, Physiology Coloring Book, Anatomy and Physiology Made Incredibyl Easy, and Stressed Out About Nursing School: An Insider's Guide to Success...looking foward to all those and now I'm looking for some NET guides now...I know I've seen the ERI guide mentioned a few times...are there any others?...has anyone ever used the one I listed - NET Secrets?

I WOULD NOT BUY THE "NET SECRETS".

Why? That 'secret' is available ALL OVER the net by different people. It doesn't seem 'right' to me.

Why buy that when you can get exactly the Study Guide that you need, and learn exactly what you need to learn, from the people who actually make the test, Educational Resources? (Their website is: EriWorld.net)

Good luck! :)

Whew!! Before you go spending $$$ on all those books, check out your campus library. They should have the majority of them :p

Thanks for the suggestions ...and yea I have checked out the library and they either didn't have them or they were checked out - It's nowhere near as big as Albany's library where I used to go...But its okay, I'd rather have my own copy anyways :)
