The schools with point systems go by the grades you have. For an Associate's, you take classes like Expository Writing, A&P I/II, Micro, etc. You also get points for attending an information session. It comes out to 127 points total. I was told that a person needs 80 points to be considered for the program. Schools with waitlists normally just require CNA I and the NET or HOBET.

I take most of my classes online. The only time people have to attend campus is if they are taking a science or speech class.

Quite a few of the schools in NC don't have a waiting list. We normally go by a point system.

I'm not sure, but Ohio has Patient Care Techs. I think they may be the equivalent to CNA II. CNA II's can do cath care, NG tubes, sterile dressing changes, etc. I'm finishing my CNA I class in May and plan on enrolling in CNA II around August.

I don't bother. I use http://www.laurasmidiheaven.com/Tools/GPACalculator.shtml. So far it's been pretty accurate.

I'm considering a move there (Columbus) and would like to know: if the schools go by wait list or point systems STNA's: Are they equivalent to a CNA I or II?

Lol, Bragg Blvd. is still nothing but pawn shops and strip clubs. With a few fast food places of course.

The most I've seen is Duke. CNA I's start at $10, CNA II's $11.

So far, my English course. I haven't taken a&p or micro yet, so my opinion may change later.

Philosophy and ethics will require more research and thought. Spanish may be the easiest since you've already taken it. I'd go with the religion class. I agree that you should ask around about the instructors. Or go to ratemyprofessor.com.

I'm a pre-nursing student, but I do know a bit about online learning. I attend a community college and so far have accrued 30 s.h., 22 online. My classes on campus were much easier. All I had to do was show up and take the test. With online learning, I have to post on the DB, write papers, group projects (which I hate), etc. The tests are also online. I still prefer this method due to the convenience. Many of the people I know refuse to take these classes because they know they don't have the discipline to succeed.

My school has 16 week, 9 week, and 8 week classes. This time I'm taking 16 week courses (Jan-May) Developmental Psychology Argument-Based Research Western Civilizations I Sociology of the Family I'll be taking A&P this summer.

I've never heard of a CNA class online. I do know the Red Cross gives classes in some larger cities. If you're already in nursing school, you may be able to sit for the exam now. In NC you can get CNA certification after the first semester of nursing school.

hi all, i'm 22 years old, attached but no children. i graduated from adult high school and for the past year have been taking college classes, but for adn and all the general classes for a bsn. i still have to take chem, algebra (really need to review it), speech, a&p, and micro for adn. i plan on applying for programs at the beginning of 2007.
