I thought I would make a thread dedicated to all of us waiting for an Acceptance letter, NET results, or even for those of you who are done waiting....getting ready to start up NS soon! Let's all band together and support one another in these stressful times~ no one understands us better than each other! Go future nurses!!!! :yeah::nurse:

I hope we all can say we got accepted, too! How nice would that be?? I just discovered this website this past week, and I can't seem to pry myself away from the computer since then! I guess when you find something great, you just can't let it go!! :) This is my stress relief,...because as much as my boyfriend and family try to be there for me (and I appreciate and love them so much for that), they just don't understand the stress I'm going through quite like everyone on here!...Thanks to all for that!:cheers:

This is a great idea. I am worried sick about it but what will be will be I guess. I am 32 and had a midlife crisis at 30. I was a zookeeper, great job but no advancement, and I wanted to do something different with my life. I am waiting to hear from a four year near my house which would make me start nursing classes this fall. ** fingers crossed** I work full time at a local hospital as a Nurse Tech on our Cardiac Spec. floor. I work three 12's so there is time for classes.

I hope we can all go through together.

Welcome Pbingham! Glad to have you here! During high school I wanted soo badly to be a Zookeeper! However, I then realized my love for helping people and my love for Anatomy and Physiology and changed my mind! I wish you the best of luck getting into the school you applied for! We are all here for each other, so if anyone needs to "vent" out their stresses, by all means do so on here! Pbingham, when are you supposed to find out if you got in or not? Keep me posted! Hi all, I am impatiently waiting for my letter too. I won't hear anything until the end of April or beginning of May. I am so nervous because like all nursing programs, mine is SO COMPETITIVE. I am trying to remain postive. I wish the best for everyone as we go through this.

Hey this is a great idea. I'm currently still taking prereqs and hope to be apply to ABSN programs this fall. I'm really nervous because I keep hearing people who are waiting, that HAS to be nerve racking!

At 30?!?!?! I hope you are thinking you'll live past 30 (haha, just teasing).

That is another thing. When I get accepted, I'll have to come to the realization that I WILL be changing careers! With a mortgage in my pocket that is very frightening! I hope we all can make it thru it and come out shining at the end!

I did the same thing. I actually LOVED my job but it wasn't where my heart was. When I was in college the first time I took the pre-reqs for the nursing program at my school but I was so intimidated by the thought of NOT getting in that I finished with a degree in communications and took a management position with the company that I had been working for since starting college. At 29 (which I have decided is the new 19 :coollook:) I decided to go back to school and apply for the program here.:yeah:

I am SO EXCITED to go to nursing school. I feel like I am finishing what I started 10 years ago. THe wait is the worst of it for me...it seems like now that I FINALLY have the time and dedication I am just on hold.

Hey everyone! Well as of this morning I found out I was accepted to the program that I applied too and I am soo ecstatic! But I know what the waiting is like. I applied two times at the school I am currently attending and didn't get in. This was my third time at a school about 15 mins away. Around 300 applied and about 80-90 of us got accepted! I can't wait to start!!! Good luck to everyone who is still having to endure that horrible wait. I feel your pain. I hope that everyone gets in so we can all celebrate together!!! :balloons:

WOW great JOB KatieLynne86!! I bet you are just super excited! I would be! You should go out and celebrate the wonderful news!! I am very proud of your accomplishments! Hopefully the rest of us can join in on the celebration as soon as possible!!! Keep in touch, fill me in on anything exciting that happens in the upcoming months/years! Have a WONDERFUL Monday!
