Post your Fall 2013 grades!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hey everyone!

The semester is over & I am pleased to say .. I finally got that 4.0. All the ranting and raving I did about my history grade, and I actually came out with an A. The last grade I made before the final was a 70 and I had pretty much given up on getting an A in there. The professor gave us a chance to get extra credit. We had to write a 2 page paper, and it was worth up to 10 points. Since she told the class she wasn't going to grade it lightly, I pretty much gave up on that too, but I still completed the assignment and turned it in to be safe. Needed a 101 on the final to make an A, impossible. I honestly had stopped studying for the final. The night before the test I did absolutely nothing. Well, grades were posted. I made a 93 on the exam and got 8 out of 10 extra credit points which gave me exactly the 101 I needed! Yes.

So now, for grades:

AP1-A

AP1 Lab-A

Economics-A

World History-A

Lifespan Development-A

I'm so ecstatic. I literally haven't had straight A's since middle school (with the exception of the summer semester). This 4.0 gave my GPA a nice bump. I will be spending this winter break getting my nursing school application together so I can have it turned in before next semester starts.

How did you guys do? Post your grades! Did you do as well as you wanted to? If you didn't, what will you change so you will do better next semester?

Specializes in Hospice, Palliative Care.

Good day, mursegabe:

Given your grades, you'll do fine on the TEAS.... do study as able, but don't get too stressed over it.

Thank you.

You go girl! Glad to hear you made high marks on your academics. As for me, I didn't do so well but that's because I was lazy and

chose not to study and procrastinated.

My grades are nothing special compared to majority of the people in this post, but I did my 3 remaining pre-reqs in one semester and graduated early (last week) with a B.A in Music, so I guess I should be happy? ( :( Perfectionist problems.. lol)

Thank you. . . . It's just that my school is so competitive and the TEAS is key.

You can have a 4.0, experience, great recommendations, but if you don't score well too bad.

I now this is probably dumb, but this is my opinion. I hate when people ask for grades of other students or posting them in the public, as sometimes it does discourage some people. I would never post if I got a 4.0 to a 1.5 it doesn't matter to me. I just find that it's disheartening to people who have tried and not succeeded at their 4.0 they tried to get this semester. I know it's probably annoying for me to say. I know some people are very pleased with their grades, while some feel like it's a little smudge in the face. Oh well, just my opinion.

I don't think your thoughts are dumb at all. I don't want to see people get discouraged either. My other gripe is that it comes off as nothing but a way to boast if you did really well. Just my 2 cents. Not trying to be a negative nancy or anything but I've seen some less than stellar words written to people who didn't exactly "hack it" with their prerequisite courses. Either way, I'm very happy with my grades and I hope everyone else is too!
