Hello to all who frequent this great site. I just thought I would open a thread for positive statements regarding the Nclex. So here goes mine...

I have been studying for three weeks, I have done well on my ATI exam, and score in the High 60's and even did a 70% on my Kaplan pratice tests. I don't know everything but I know enough to pass. If I do not pass it will just be a minor set back. I'm not going to let it cripple me but motivate me. I have made it through a very tough nursing school and I know I will pass the NCLEX if not the first time then soon. This is the easy part. No one is going to kick me out of nursing If I fail this test unlike school. All my best to those who are about to take their NCLEX. Mine is tomorrow ant 2 P.M. Im going to kick that tests but! (ya I know it sounds corny but I hope it helps others);)

Best of luck to all of you preparing to take the nclex. I took mine three weeks ago and passed!!!:) The two best pieces of advice I have for everyone is DON'T PANIC if you don't know an answer - make the best educated guess you can - you can't possibly know everything. And - take some time to relax before the nclex- go to the beach, get a massage, read anything but a review book - anything to unwind. Best of luck to all of you - you can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by the time i take the nclex in about 3 years, i would have had 3 years of studying for it ;) ... i can't wait. right now, i'm confident i can pass it, i hope when it's time to take it i still feel the same.:lol2:

You confused me a bit....are you in your FIRST year of a four year program? Why is it you won't take NCLEX for three more years?

If you've graduated school, why don't you take it now? If you HAVEN'T, and you still have three more years of school to go....well....talk to us in three years about why we're nervous, LOL....

Here's something positive for the thread, for those who have religious faith (doesn't matter in what or whom):

Someone told me that if you worry, it's a sin. The idea is that if you put faith in God, if you've done everything you can to help a situation, have asked for His help and trust that God will see the right thing done, then who are YOU to worry? If it's in God's hands, well.....what ARE you worrying about?

I did a whole LOTTA praying before my final skill evaluation of school (comprehensive, wicked, and one shot only or bumped out). And although I was still nervous, I was mostly nervous because I knew I still needed to do my best. BUT, I also knew that if God wants this done, I don't have a thing to worry about. And if not, who am I to decide I know better?

So, while I anxiously check each day's scores on self-quizzes, I also know that since I'm DOING everything I can (not asking for help when I haven't helped myself already), I believe God will see me through.

Well I'm still waiting to find out if I passed or not. One friend who took it before me found out she passed and one who took it after me found out he passed. Hard not to worry but still trying to stay positive!

Everyone say a prayer for me also........ I take mine at 8:00am... in about 10 hours!!! Can't Sleep........Can't wait to get it over with! I am sick, sick, sick, of studying..... Do NOT want to go through this again, so I am going to PASS, I will PASS, I will PASS.... okay just keep repeating that to yourself. It will be alright.

Mine is today and I feel the same way. I keep looking at lab values, doing short quizzes and just plain feel burnt out. I didn't sleep well, my head, neck, back and legs ache. I just pray this is the end and no need to retest. *sigh How nervewracking. No better than nursing school, lol.
