Positive NCLEX Thread

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello to all who frequent this great site. I just thought I would open a thread for positive statements regarding the Nclex. So here goes mine...

I have been studying for three weeks, I have done well on my ATI exam, and score in the High 60's and even did a 70% on my Kaplan pratice tests. I don't know everything but I know enough to pass. If I do not pass it will just be a minor set back. I'm not going to let it cripple me but motivate me. I have made it through a very tough nursing school and I know I will pass the NCLEX if not the first time then soon. This is the easy part. No one is going to kick me out of nursing If I fail this test unlike school. All my best to those who are about to take their NCLEX. Mine is tomorrow ant 2 P.M. Im going to kick that tests but! (ya I know it sounds corny but I hope it helps others);)

gigan.....thanks soooo much for the encouragement....i've been out-of-school for close to a year, but this is my 1st attempt at the nclex-pn (july 25th), i've been studying as much as i can with the time that i have, i'm a single mom so it's very hard to hold a full-time job + be a mom, and study. all i can say is that i'm trying to get ahead in life, and pass this exam. if i don't pass this time god knows when it will be my time.....to all those you feel overwhelmed....remember this:

when you are facing something that seems impossible to you, have faith, for nothing is impossible with god on your side !

hey Gigan... I'm pretty sure you passed... I've been reading a lot of thread here for weeks alreayd... and majority of the people with 75 questions pass... Keep us posted.. I'm taking my NCLEX pn on saturday and im nervous too

Good Luck..I am sure you did fine :) Hey, did you need to submit original HS diploma/GED scores when you took the NCLEX?

Hello Marisela01, Good for you. I can somewhat relate to you situation. Going back to school at age 36 was my effort to better the lives of my family and I. In the 1st week of going back to school My wife and I recieved to two children we would eventually adopt a newborn straight from the hospital and his 3 yr old sister. It was a crazy schedule but the Lord brought us through it and contiued to bless the path he set me on. We also homeschool my daughter , taking alternate days to teach, which was difficult but for us worth it. You can do it with the help of God. He has set you on this course for a reason and he will help you complete it. CAL723 No I did not, by the way I am a GED recipient. That stuff was handled in the application process for the NCLEX.

gigan....you sound like an awsome person...i know god will definitely bless you for all that you have done for your childern and wife...it takes a very unique individual to be able to do what god has set forth for him to do....i know god will show you favor over this exam....:thankya:

I am smart enough, I am good enough, and, doggone it, I AM GOING TO PASS NCLEX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :balloons:

Man, that felt good! Thanks for this thread! I was literally almost in tears...

jennjflca......dogone it you're going to pass this exam...everyone on this forum will....we made it through nursing school(which was harder than nclex):rotfl:

Thanks for your great post and for encouraging all of us, Gigan! I took my NCLEX on Thursday and got 75 questions as well. I was calm like you when I went in and had been praying about my exam for a long time. I know God was with me and I know that whatever my result is, it is what God wanted it to be for now.

My husband reminded me the day of my exam that all I can give is my best effort, and that one exam will not define the type of professional any of us will be! All of us have what it takes to pass and we can do it! :) Just remember to stay positive and don't lose sight of what really matters - 6 months from now, how we did on the NCLEX will be a minor detail in life. :)

im sure you will do well....I felt the tightness in my chest also and by Gods grace i passed..so will you

i pray for all for whome nclex is ahead (including myself). i just want to have enough questions to pass, i really do not care if it is 75, 148, or 265, just results is what matters. i also was freaking out when i started to reviewing 3 weeks ago but now i try to react positive to situation, as my hubby says "it is not the end of the world, i believe in you" and "many other pass you will too, if not so there is next time." so believe , believe, believe in yourself, have a faith in your ability :pumpiron: , someone up there is looking up at you all too.

best wishes and good luck.

Tip #1: Take your time...you have 6 hours to take this test

Tip #2: If the questions seem to easy dont worry it just means you are just that smart!! (My mom told me this the morning I left to take my test)

Tip#3: No matter how many questions you get you will still leave the room thinking you failed. Everyone does. Don't stress about it too much!!

Tip#4: Before you hit the next button for the first question close your eyes...take a deep breath..exhale slowly..and say to yourself...I graduated nursing school..I passed all of the exams there..this is just one more exam to pass..I got this!!!!

Good luck to you all and congradulations in advance!!!!

A small update: I took the NCLEX today and to be honest as I approached the building in my vehicle my chest started getting a little tight and I was feeling nervous but I thought about this thread and how far I had come to get to this point. I quickly calmed down. To fail the test because of nerves was not something I wanted to do. well I took the test it ended at 75 questions. Weather that is good or bad is anyones guess but I feel good that nerves didn't come in to play. Ill keep you all updated pass or fail. You guys have the knowledge go for it!!

I take the NCLEX-PN at 3pm today (yes I'm still up I can't sleep...LOL) I also studied using the ATI. Do you feel the ATI helped you prepare for the NCLEX?

Thanks...Lisa

just a quick question for all who have reviewed for the nclex and have taken it too...

do they have the same exact questions on the actual exam or similar situations coz why study at a review center, i'm sure they do practice tests? or just questions that you probably covered in your college nursing education? by the time i take the nclex in about 3 years, i would have had 3 years of studying for it ;) ... i can't wait. right now, i'm confident i can pass it, i hope when it's time to take it i still feel the same.:lol2:
