Portage learning

I am applying to a nursing school and the refered me to portage learning online for my prerequisites. Can anybody tell me if portage learning is accredited? Has anybody taken classes from them before? Did you have any problems transfering your credits?

I really appreciate the help of anybody out there who can give me some info. Thank you!

I just - as in a few hours ago - submitted my chemistry final for Portage. I liked the format of the course in general but found the exam itself difficult. Part of that is probably my fault - I allowed myself to get way too busy this winter and took a long time to complete the course so a lot of stuff wasn't fresh anymore - but I was surprised, and believe me, I am not a lazy or poor student.

I was wondering if you took the CHM 108 or the Statistics from them. I need to take those 2 and I am not bad with CHM but Stats I am concerned but I need to do it. Let me know!

How long are the classes

How did you do on this class? What was your grade?

So far my grade is a 95%, I am only doing the Stats and there is 15 modules, and it takes me 2 hours to do one. But it's a lot of info. The class I'd good for a year, you do it on your own time, but I want to just get it done.

The exams are just time consuming

You have one full year to complete the course. The course ends on the day you bought the next year. I've taken Nutrition.

I'm wondering about Micro now, too. I think I'm going to take it through Portage next summer after I complete my first year of nursing school because it'll be less stressful to do it on my own time. Also cheaper.

Has anybody done ethics through portage learning? If so, does it entail tests in writing papers?

I was curious how the Ethics course is threw Portage learning. What is required, is it all multiple choice or do you have to write papers? Just curious because I am taking 3 courses right now but I need this one too before the fall.
