If you are a nurse, or a future nurse, is your spouse/significant other in law enforcement?

Just curious to see if this is a legit pattern or if I've just been noticing it more lately.

I am a nurse with a law enforcement spouse.

No, my husband is a welder. I once thought this was a common, my MIL is also a nurse and FIL is a welder. We have several friends that are nurse/welder marriages.

My husband is also a welder. We live in KY, very common combo here.

I'm not married, but I've dated a teacher, a speech therapist, a couple nurses (duh), and a med student.

Never dated a police officer. I'm not sure how I'd meet one. I could try speeding, but that seems like an expensive experiment to meet female LEOs.

Hubby is a gas fitter

Since working in this field, I've dated a few security guards. I think because our weird hours align and because we share similar stories about work! 😂 no actual police though....

I've seen over 9000 of those couples.

Nine thousand. :roflmao: MOST impressive! One couple for each year of experience, eh?

You get around, doncha?!!

When I met hubby, he was working as a Sheriff's Deputy. I used to know ALL the Ten Codes used in this area because I was always glued to the scanner and knew all the guys in his squad.

I was jealous when I saw the vanity license plate that read "1078", code for "CRAZY!"

I have family members that are LEOs. At the moment, I don't have a SO, but I have recently gone on a couple of dates. Would that make him an insignificant other?

No, just an Other.

Yes my dear husband is a Police officer.

My husband was a corrections officer. Now he has graduated the police academy waiting to be picked up by a department. I wasn't a nurse before I met him and he wasn't an officer before he met me. We both knew what careers we wanted though and we've finally fulfilled our dreams!

I was a teacher before a nurse and there are a lot of teacher/LEO combos there too.

No, hubby is a software engineer. I do know of several nurse/ LEO couples though.

Still kinda cool that with 41 votes so far, about 30% are nurse/LE couples. Keep 'em coming!
