Hello all, I am curious to see what the current pay rate is across the country so we can better prepare ourselves and negotiate better salaries! Please try to keep this poll to any graduates after 2010. Thanks!
1) State
2) Hourly Salary
3) Experience, if any
4) Specialty, if any
Here's mine:
NJ
$26/hr new grad, no exp., recently changed jobs $33/hr 1 yr exp.
Only 1 year old RN
Nephrology/dialysis
Not necessarily on the rent thing... I am renting a 3b/2br house with a 1 car garage and a matchbox yard, and I am paying $795. There are houses in my neighborhood renting well over $900. We start at $20/hr. So, I pay almost 40% of my take home income in rent alone... not to mention absolutely none of my utilities are included so after cable, water, sewer, and electricty I probably spend half of my take home income on where I live. It sucks.
Salary... I just got a second job so I'll post again.
First:
1. GA
2. $20/hr plus really bad differentials ($1-$2.25)
3. New grad
4. ICU
Second:
1. GA
2. $30/hr - unknown differentials as of yet, but I get them
3. 8 months
4. ICU - but PRN and no benefits.
