Specializes in Adult and Pediatric Vascular Access, Paramedic.

1) 75 questions

2) went to review class, but found it very boring so only went 1 day out of 4. Otherwise did questions under clients needs on the Saunders CD (which is the test plan for NCLEX). Did those for 2 weeks off and on aobut 50-100 questions a day when I did do them.

3) We took exit HESI and I scored 1049 (above 850 and they say you will most likely pass NCLEX)

4) 48 hours exactly from the time I finished the test

5) Honestly I thought NCLEX was a heck of a lot easier than it is made out to be. I thought HESI was harder than NCLEX.

6) Yes, first and last cause I passed :balloons:

Swtooth EMT-P, RN

1. How many questions did you take on NCLEX? About 120

2. What study materials did you use? Did you take a test review course?

Meds publishing 4 day review course offered by my SON. Meds-rn nclex-rn review book was the only book I used for content review. Used only the CD's with practice questions from Kaplan, Mosby, Davis, Princeton-Review. I did some of the practice questions in those books as well. But did not study content from those books. Did about 100 practice questions daily.

3. Did your SON offer any testing (ERI, ATI, HESI)?

Nope

4. How long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting?

48 hours exactly with quick results, took 3 days to post on the Michigan board of nursing

5. What were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)?

WTH was that? The questions were harder than I thought (mostly similar to Kaplan, imo). I cried that night I was sure I failed. I felt sure of like 5 questions and I had drugs I had never heard of on the test.

6. Was this your first attempt at NCLEX?
