Physiology question.

Published

I am currently about 3 weeks from finishing physiology 1. I have a 75.... I'm an A student but have struggled greatly with physiology.

I've contacted my nursing advisor 5 times now, no return call or email. So I was hoping someone here could help.

My question is, since it's beyond the drop date, and I can't retake it at a C (my schools policy is if it's a C or higher you can't retake) should I just let my trade slide further so I can get a D or F and retake it? I fear having a C or worse :( We have another test and the final coming up.

Thank you for your help.

I totally believe you can do it! You are very close to a B with two exams left! Just study your butt of until the test. Leave the class knowing you studied as had as you posibly could, and feel good about that :) good luck!

Thank you for your encouragement. I'm hoping you're right! I will keep you posted. Praying I can find my motivation after having the wind knocked out of my sails. Thank you again!

I feel your pain!!! I was there once. You have what it takes I promise!

Don't give up!!!

I wouldn't fail the class just to retake it. I suggest try talking with your professor about doing extra credit work or have her teach you some of the material during her office hours. Take more, time, out to study and read the chapters and use quizzes to help you practice questions. You can do this ! You're so close to finishing and investing time to study is worth it.

I would continue to study and prepare for exams. I would not deliberately fail the course. I understand your struggle completely. I currently have 84.8% in anatomy & physiology I but I just bombed an exam so I know my grade will drop. We still have the final, a practical and one quiz left. I am on shaky ground with the class material, we are studying the Central nervous system and PNS and special senses. I am reading the chapters in the textbooks and teacher's power points. I know I need to buckle down and study intensely. I studied for my last exam but did not focus in on the right material. So I need to really pay attention this time. My reason for telling you this is that your not alone and there are others out here that are pushing really hard to get an acceptable grade. So don't give up!

If a B is what you're after work hard and get it. If your other pre-req grades aren't well above that (assuming the programs you are applying to are competitive) you may want to drop the grade to retake it.

You can do it, lady! Don't give up!

You can do it! I'm at an 85 in A&P and will be busting my ass to get up to a 90. It's hard but doable. Put everything you have into it!

Thank you for the encouragement. I am truly grateful for it. This is a challenging journey but I'm doing it. These next couple of weeks are going to be anxiety filled!

I hope you don't mind me asking, but why does your school not allow you to retake a course if you get a C? As for your grade, I found that youtube videos helped immensely. Have faith in yourself and you can do it!!!! :)

My school doesn't allow you to retake a class if you get a C or higher in it either unless it's been more than 5 years since you originally took it.

That I do find weird. We can retake classes once even with a C
