RN, ADN being obsolete
I'm in Dayton, OH. I graduate in May and already have a job. We have hospitals all over the state hiring like crazy.

Graduation Hold
You should be fine to take the NCLEX when the hold is removed from your account. Just make sure you follow up with the nursing dept so they see the hold is gone.

best way to get my BSN
all of these questions are basically dependent on the school's you'd be looking at. Basically, yes it will take longer to bridge from ASN to BSN rather than going straight for BSN, exact time depends on the program but probably 5 years total. Though if you're working as an RN you could probably have your employer pay for your BSN. This is the cheaper option usually. Speak to an advisor or check online for how long the individual programs last.

HESI exams help
Is this really for a grade or to see where you're at now and to repeat later?

Working while in nursing school?
Stay with your parents as long as humanly possible

Is nursing for me?
I agree with shadowing. You have to really be sure you want this to succeed in the program. It's not easy.

Clinicals
We have no say. It's in our handbook that clinicals will be within 30 miles of campus. Doesn't matter where you live.

RN to BSN Program in Ohio
Sociology is a pre-req in most BSN programs. I'd do some research and see what works for you. Wright State and U of Cincinnati both do online programs.

Total care patient in nursing home! Help!
We don't have access to her chart so you need to keep utilizing the staff and her chart. What's the timing on her medications? Are they current or did they have an end date that already passed? Can you do oral care on her (that's an easy one) if her mouth is dry? Does she have limitations to her ROM that would impede you moving her? Prioritize and plan.

PLEASE HELP! I AM STRESSED TO THE MAX!! How long do Prerequisites last?
Right 2.7 is the minimum. Remember that there are only so many seats and you're competing with students who have well over a 3.0. I don't think anyone in my cohort has less than a 3.0.

PLEASE HELP! I AM STRESSED TO THE MAX!! How long do Prerequisites last?
At the program I'm in you'd be on thin ice. You can only retake 2 science classes. You'd have zero wiggle room and really need to step it up to be competitive.

Transfer
I'm in a BSN course with many community college credits as are many in my cohort. Your performance is what matters most.

A&P 1/ Chemistry
Are these mandatory fairs in your area? Typically they will stay off your back if you do "x" amount of job activities and you pick where you apply and what job fairs you attend. Hopefully it's not the much different in your area. My ex husband was on unemployment for quite some time and it took almost no time to fulfill the weekly requirements which they almost never checked. Get this semester out of the way and actually get into the nursing program before you worry about the next step.

A&P 1/ Chemistry
It doesn't take a lot of work to attend a job fair or apply for a job.
