Minoring in Spanish VS. learning it on your own
I have always wanted to learn Spanish (I did very well in middle/high school and wanted to continue.) I always thought I would minor in Spanish, no matter my major (this was before I decided on nursing.) I am completing my RN to BSN currently. Minoring in Spanish would add on 8 more classes, which means at least 8 more semesters. Or, would doing a program, like Rosetta Stone or something, be better? Save money, possibly time. But I wouldn't be able to be able to say I minored in Spanish. Does anyone have any experience with this, or advice? Thanks!

New Nurse, New Job, Feeling Dumb
This is a great idea! I have 2 more months left of school and the thought of being on my own is terrifying. This may make it a little easier though!

When did you start NCLEX prep?
Hey everyone, just wondering when you started doing NCLEX reviews? I have about 2 months left of school and I'm just starting to look at the different options. So when do you think a good time to start doing practice NCLEX questions, and what programs/prep material did you use?

RN to BSN Program in Ohio
Hey everyone, so I am finishing up my last semester for my ADN and I actually got an interview at OSU Hospital! I think the manager really liked me and everything went very well. My only issue is that they want you to have/be enrolled in a BSN program in order to be hired. When I looked up OSU's RN to BSN program, I really loved it, and I've always wanted to go to OSU. The problem is that you need 9 pre reqs before you can be admitted into the program and I have all but two, nutrition and sociology. I'm sure these classes ca be taken online, but I'm kinda running into a deadline since the application needs to be done by April 1st. Does anyone know if they would accept me pending these two classes? If not, I would have to wait for the Spring semester and possibly miss out on this wonderful job experience at OSU. Or does anyone know of a better RN to BSN program that might be quicker to get into? Thanks in advance for all the advice!

Students for Fall 2014 Tri-C program?
I have a question about clinicals. First, when in the program do they start? I have a lot of people telling me a lot of different answers. And secondly, does it matter which program you are in for the times of the clinicals? For instance, I am doing the day program, will all of my clinicals be during the week during the day or will there be weekend ones too? Or is it a first come, first serve basis? Thanks!

Students for Fall 2014 Tri-C program?
I am thinking about doing days and then working doubles on sat/sun and then a day through the weeks, whichever day that might be my less work load day.

Tri-C Day or Evening/Weekend Program???
Thank you, that is very helpful.

Tri-C Day or Evening/Weekend Program???
I could definitely work with that, and my job could as well. What I am confused about is that each class has a lab/clinical to go along with it right? Maybe this is a stupid question, but I am confused. When I looked at some of the classes there were ones that had so many credits, then ones with 0 credits- these would be the clinicals right?

Students for Fall 2014 Tri-C program?
I just received my provisional application for the nursing program and am really confused as to which program I should choose, days or evenings/weekends.I currently work 6a-2p (which can be altered) but I must still work my 40 hours a week. Any recommendations to which I should choose?

Tri-C Day or Evening/Weekend Program???
So I just received my provisional application for Tri-C's nursing program (YAY!) for Fall 2015. But I am at a dilemma now. I currently work full time, 6a-2p. I can alter my hours, but I need to still remain at full time status. So I cannot work any less or else I can't survive. I have looked at both the day and evening programs, but cannot decide which is better. No information is given on approximately how long each is (such a time to such a time.) I am leading more toward the day program, since the Metro campus is closest to my house. When (generally) do these classes end or even begin? I can suffer through working nights, but if I get off at 6a and have to be at class by 7a, I'm not gonna be able to make it. Any help?
