Steven Arthur LaTulippe spread COVID-19 dis-information.

Quote

The Oregon Medical Board has revoked the license of a doctor who didn’t follow COVID-19 guidelines in his office and even told some patients that wearing face masks could lead to carbon-dioxide poisoning.

“Licensee has confirmed that he will refuse to abide by the state’s COVID-19 protocols in the future as well, affirming that in a choice between losing his medical license versus wearing a mask in his clinic and requiring his patients and staff to wear a mask in his clinic, he will, ‘choose to sacrifice my medical license with no hesitation’” ...

Is this good for the healthcare industry?

If I had wanted that to be taken seriously, I would have created a new identity with some made up credentials like the trollers here.

Yes, some of them really go overboard with the alphabet soup… only to ruin the desired effect with their very first post when they start sharing a ton of disinformation that flies in the face of science… making it painfully clear that the likelihood that they’ve actually earned the claimed credentials is somewhere between microscopic and non-existent.

Claiming that many credentials, then parroting an unproven and potentially harmful treatment culled off social media, boggles the mind.

This is a joke, right? Sarcasm? Right?

I have been encouraging people on this board to pay attention who they are actually engaging with.

If you look at how this narrative has been driven on this forum- there are a couple of actual members with some very out there perspectives.  When I say "actual members", they have a post history showing they have, in the past, engaged in rational discussion.

Then a whole bunch of this static is coming from brand new screen names, who materialized and have done nothing but engage in controversy by supporting an unsupportable viewpoint.  Engaging them is pointless.  They are not exchanging ideas, they are rebroadcasting harmful disinformation, very well aware of how to best provoke a reaction.

Some of the trolling has at least some creativity, shows some thought or effort.  Most of it is on par with the garbage I posted.

Gotta be pretty bored and lonely.

Think about that kid in school who lacks the social skills to engage peers or teachers in a meaningful way.  Their only connections with others is to be annoying, and negative attention is better than none at all.

Unfortunately, in this case, real people are really dying from the disease of disinformation.  It's a virulent disease, and it is possible to be a carrier without being symptomatic when an otherwise healthy person engages trolls.

I often report their misinformation first but it rarely gets removed.  I try not to quote the more insidious disinformation.  They definitely don't need help.

These posters are not what they claim to be. The credentials are as phony as the disinformation they peddle.

Asthma group warns against social media trend of inhaling hydrogen peroxide to treat coronavcoronavirus

People say they are concerned about long term effects of vaccine or the technology and won't vaccinate...but they'll inhale H2O2 because a social media expert recommended it.

Can’t fix stupid. I am in the process of finding a new primary care doctor. Mine refuses to wear a mask, is not vaccinated, tells those who are vaccinated that they will die within 2 years but if they take vitD, baby ASA, and DRINK THREE CUPS OF PINE NEEDLE TEA a day they may be able to reverse the effects? WHAT??? Hand my husband a packet of cherry picked misinformation that he printed off the computer and made sure to tell him to not tell his wife (me). The next visit he said to my husband, “I hope your drinking your Pine Needle Tea” hubby came back with, “I’m waiting for it in K-Cup”(not following this crap). Then the next visit he asked my husband for a $60k loan??? No doc, you got the insurance money….I’ve had enough.

So today we got our COVID booster shots and are in the process of building a new home by the end of the year that ironically is located on FALLING PINE NEEDLE LANE. Can’t make this crap up. This doctor used to be great but right around COVID19 he went nuts…and then scary nuts.

Believe me, as soon as I have my records out of his office for the next doc I’ll be doing just that. I’m very surprised he hasn’t been shut down yet.

Pine needle tea is one of the many quack ”cures” for Covid that’s making the rounds on the internet. Sounds like a great decision to change provider.

People who promote unproven remedies and medications are dangerous.

Not to mention, asking a patient for a loan of a substantial amount of money. The guy is suss as hell.
