Hello! Does anyone have any insight on if you dont have quite enough funds available to attempt the pearsonvue trick if it will still take you to the "our records indicate...." page ? Or does it preauthorize the 200?? We get paid tomorrow so its no big deal to wait if we have to but my husband is taking it as we speak and its his third try so hes anxious to pass....

I took my test on oct 21 stopped at 75 q and I tried the trick. It showed me the good pop up and two days later I passed ;)

Yes. I got the "results on hold" pop-up at first coz i took an unscheduled break. Now i'm more nervous. Does that mean my results will be delayed?

Yes. The results are delayed until PV completes the QA/QC audit of your exam. Average is 48-96hrs on hold unless there was a major issue (caught with cell phone, cheating, etc)

I tried the trick the 2nd time and it took my payment of $200 after i submit it. Does that mean i failed? :(

Results on hold so you tried again and were charged?

Does your state participate in quick results?

Yes. They do. I have to wait for tomorrow since i took it friday. Mine is really unique PVT. Im freaking out. Anyone else experienced the same thing?

Wow- I had no idea the PV "trick" no longer worked! What a racket (and rip off) PV is doing by not blocking the ability to pay for those who have already passed! This trick has been used for years and years- (I'm glad it worked when I took it!) and I'm sure nervous students are going to keep using it for quite a while until word gets out (probably take years) that it no longer applies. In the interim- PV is going to BANK on $200 fees! I wonder how many tens of thousands of dollars they will pocket before someone files a class action suite?

Quick results are 48 hours so you will get them tomorrow and you will know the accurate answer.

Yeah. Tomorrow hopefully my results won't take very long than usual. I will keep you posted.

The so-called "trick" was never a sanctioned use of PV's registration software. People figured out that they were likely to have passed if they got a certain message when attempting to register for a second exam, before receiving results from their first one. Pearson Vue, however, repeatedly told anyone who asked that they do NOT consider anything anyone deduces to be a valid answer of any kind.

If anyone tries to file a lawsuit, MY they will look silly. After all, there are at least two screens that warn someone who is attempting to register for an exam that ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. They have explanations on their website VERY clearly stating that if you choose to register for an exam you either don't need (because you passed) or don't want (because you gave up), it's not their responsibility to refund a single dime.

Anyone who puts in their credit card information and hits "submit" is doing so KNOWING that they are AUTHORIZING a charge of $200, payable to Pearson Vue. How on earth someone can then claim they are owed a refund is beyond me. "Buyer's Remorse" isn't legal grounds for refunds, period.

Pearson Vue upgraded their registration software August 22nd; when people began trying to find out via the 'trick' that it now takes everyone to the credit card page, a wave of discussion began. "What does this mean?" "How can I tell if I passed?" "Will it charge me if I passed, but I told them to go ahead and charge my card anyway?" And on and on.

This isn't some diabolical plot on Pearson Vue's end; they never made a dime from any of it before, and if people are, to put it bluntly, STUPID ENOUGH to hand over $200 and HOPE that they can determine something because of it.....it's money they chose to spend. Foolish, but people do have a right to throw their own money away.

What they DON'T have a right to do is complain that when they authorized a non-refundable charge, by gosh it got charged---and now they want their money back!

Took the test 10-24-14. Got 75 questions. Got a good pop-up after 30mins of the test but after 6 hours i tried it again but this time it accepted my payment so im charged $200.

Your first message said that after 30 minutes you got 'the good pop up', but now you say you got "results on hold" pop up. Which is it?

A message of "results on hold" is, as has already been explained, is neither good nor bad, but a result of an anomaly: in your case, you took an unscheduled break. This WILL delay your results (as was explained).

If after the hold was lifted, and your results were available, AND IT HAD BEEN LONG ENOUGH to score your test a second time.....AND you got charged.....it's very likely you failed.

You won't know with certainty until you receive official notice from your BoN.

Sorry for the confusion. It was "results on hold" on my first PVT attempt. I still have no results available as of today.
