Hello! Does anyone have any insight on if you dont have quite enough funds available to attempt the pearsonvue trick if it will still take you to the "our records indicate...." page ? Or does it preauthorize the 200?? We get paid tomorrow so its no big deal to wait if we have to but my husband is taking it as we speak and its his third try so hes anxious to pass....
It isn't the BON's decision to give you the money back or not. It is the test company's decision, really.
Also, people have gotten charged in the past and still passed the exam, so this isn't a 100% failure until you receive notice. That is the expensive risk you take with trying this trick.

Your right, it would be pearson vue not BON. But how could they get away with keeping the money?? Have you guys truly seen or know of people that really passed after paying the fee? Just wondering because all I have seen so far is hearsay.

It's considered a duplicate registration. Here is the refund policy per NCSBN
Refund PolicyNo Refund Policy
There will be no refund of registration fees (telephone, or via the Internet) for any reason, including but not limited to:
Duplicate Registrations (candidates cannot have more than one active registration for the same exam)
Failure to reschedule and/or cancel an exam appointment outside of 24 business hours
Failure to appear for an exam appointment
If you have not received a confirmation of your registration within two weeks of submitting your registration form, you should call NCLEX Candidate Services to check the status of your registration. You should not submit another registration form and fee before calling. If you decide to submit an additional registration, you should first stop payment on the original payment submitted.
There will be no refund of the $150 international scheduling fee for any reason.
*U.S. includes American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, and the Virgin Islands.

You agree to the policy by clicking submit. You are creating a duplicate registration for the NCLEX if you in fact passed, and therefore are not entitled to a refund.
There is really a very simple, very cheap answer to this problem: wait for official results. They are free.
If you live in a State that participates with PV's Quick Results option, you can pay eight bucks and get the official test results (not your licensing info, but NCLEX pass/fail results). That's all of $8.
Authorizing a charge of $200 (knowing that it's non-refundable) makes zero sense to me. WHY would they give a refund, if you knew the deal when you offered the payment? There's at least one, if not more screens that tell you (PRIOR TO authorizing the charge) that it's not refundable. So....there's the warning. Why would you go ahead and risk that money?
Took the test 10-24-14. Got 75 questions. Got a good pop-up after 30mins of the test but after 6 hours i tried it again but this time it accepted my payment so im charged $200. But im still waiting for my results since i just took it today.
Obviously, I really hope you passed! But why did you authorize a charge a SECOND time, after 6 hours? You might have passed....and that $200 is completely non-refundable It's possible you failed, of course, but won't know that until you get your official results.
Does your State participate in Quick Results? You could toss another $8 in the wastebasket to find out if you passed for sure.....or check the BoN's website regularly for updates.
Getting only 75 questions means either you did very well (and passed easily) or you did very poorly (and couldn't pass no matter what on this attempt). Which, based on your academic history, study habits, scores on practice exams....which do you think is more likely? If you're a first-time test-taker, the odds are dramatically in your favor, too.
Good luck!
Yeah im a first time taker. Either way. Now im nervous of wether i pass or fail. Should i get my quick results tomorrow sunday? Or tuesday? I took the test friday.
Pearson Vue's Quick Results are available 48 hours after completion of the exam. The day of the week (weekday, weekend) doesn't matter.
One thing that can (and does) delay these results is if your exam results are placed "on hold" at some point during the scoring period. This can happen if your palm scan required multiple passes (it flags the exam), if you took longer than average, less time than average to complete the test, any oddity, actually could potentially place an exam "on hold". It has ZERO bearing on whether the tester passes or fails.
If your results did not/do not say 'hold', just "not available", wait the full 48 hours and see if you can get them then.
Of COURSE you're nervous as to whether you passed or failed! Who with a normal level of brain activity isn't? :) Ok, ok, some people say they just KNEW they passed, no worries, etc etc. Yay. But I believe it's pretty darned normal to be nervous!
Hang in there, wait the 48 hours, see what it says.
Good luck!
