Hey all!
I wanted to give a quick update to the Pearson Vue Trick (PVT) 2017. While looking for if the "trick" still worked, I didn't see much updated info, and wanted to hopefully alleviate some stress on new grads. I took NCLEX Jan 10th 2017, and got all 265 questions. I started at 8am and finished around 11am. I came home and cried my eyes out thinking I failed, because I assumed getting all the questions was a bad thing. Long story short I tried the PVT by trying to reregister for nclex at about 2pm (I told myself I was going to wait until the next day, but I just couldn't!). I used a current credit card, but put in the incorrect exp date and cvc. I got the "good popup" but wasn't convinced. The good pop up says something about you have already registered for the test blah blah and will not take your money. I tried again later in the evening, maybe around 6ish and got the same result. I was slightly more hopeful, but still not convinced. In Wisconsin we have an OLAS application website I checked also, and next to my nclex results it turned green and said met. At exactly 8am the next day I got the official email from the State of Wisconsin that I had passed, and contained my RN number. I also bought the quick results which said pass.... Soooo long story short the PVT worked for me in 2017!
Okay so for everyone still panicking (like me), here's my story so far:
I took the NCLEX-RN for the first time on 06/07/2017 at 2pm after intense studying for 1 week (repeated Hurst Review week prior and did 100-200 uWorld questions daily) because I want to know my RN status before I start my GN Residency next week. About â…“ of my test was SATA, 2 dosage questions, 3 "order" and 2 exhibit questions. Everytime I answered a SATA question and the next one was MC or "prioritization" (had a ton of these too), I had a miniature panic. I went into the building at about 1:45ish so I'm not sure the exact timing but based on my timer at the top of the screen, it took my about 1 hour and roughly 15 minutes to answer 75 questions. I panicked again (major) when the screen turned blue but there was nothing else I could do except take the end survey and leave. I took no breaks and left the exam feeling numb. My mom drove me to the exam and waited in the car, praying (and crying -- I love her so much
I waited about 15 minutes before trying the PVT by entering information from a visa gift card. I got the "good pop up". I did this obsessively for the remainder of the day. When I woke up today (06/08), I attempted the PVT again with all of my valid cc information and am still getting the "good pop up". I know that God is with me and that I shouldn't stress and doubt Him but alas, I am human. I'm going to wait until about 2 am and check to see if I can access the Quick Results by then. It would only be 36 hours but I've seen a lot of people post how it's only taken them 24 hours before they got unofficial AND official results on their BON so I'm going to cross my fingers and hope Texas is quick! I've read almost all the posts on here and I want to thank everyone that posted because reading these have been a good way to make the time pass by and lessening my anxiety. I'll update and let you know what the final results are when I get them! Have a great night everyone!
Took the NCLEX-PN on 5/31/2017 received the MAX questions, 205 !!!!! :/ I've heard this can go both ways, pass or fail.
Received an EMAIL confirming that I had just taken my test, waited about 4 hours to try the PVT trick, received a good pop-up
Results came in exactly one week later for people testing in (California) I guess things have changed, you
no longer need to wait 4-6 weeks for results. Keep in mind a fee of $150 must be paid prior to obtaining your
actual nursing license. Good luck guys!!!
I use wrong CCV and got declined but my American express card still charged it.I ended up calling my Cc and told them the merchant declined but got charged .they gave my money back after few days.
Then you were lucky. The mistake was made by your credit card company so they refunded your money. If Pearson VUE had accepted your payment, then you would not have had a leg to stand on. You made the submission, you authorized the payment, that is all the PVT is, offering up payment and seeing if it gets taken. Pearson VUE didn't charge you, your credit card company did.
This should be a warning to people who keep doing the pvt a dozen times. One of those times they might just get charged. And there will be no refund.
Well, I took my PN NCLEX on June 9th at 2pm. I thought for sure that I failed, they had more than half of them select-all-apply and most of them priority questions, and quite frankly, basic questions that I have almost forgot about. I did the PVT trick about 9pm on the same day and I got the "good: pop-up. I paid for my quick results today at 1:45pm and I PASSED!! So, it worked for me. I thank Jesus first and foremost for me passing, because I thought for sure that I had failed. Good luck all!!
Took the five and a half hour, 265 Q test today!! should have know when me and my buddy had Micky D,s before the test and our order number was 265 we thought it was funny until 75 went by then 100 then 150 then in knew i was screwed. did the trick got the (good pop up)!!! had to enter all card info actual code number too. Lets see what happens??? I HATE THAT TEST!!!!!
Took the NCLEX-RN today (6/12/17) at 11am and had it shut off at 75 questions. I did the PVT around 10pm and got the good pop up. I plan to check the BON website tomorrow around 11am to see if my info is up and I'll come back to confirm but so far, as far as these posts go, it looks like I'll be able to add RN behind my name soon! Fingers crossed for tomorrow!
Hi everyone...I just wanted to give a current update as of June 13, 2017. The pearson view trick completely worked for me. I took all 265 questions and was freaking out so I tried it and got the good pop up. I still didn't believe it was true but found out first thing this morning that I passed. Hopefully this helps with all the rumors!!! Good luck to everyone getting ready to test
I am just here to say my experience with the PVT in PA. I took nclex-rn 6/12/17 at 1pm. I had 75 questions, 25 select all. I was freaking out like everyone else that I failed. I graduated summa cum laude but still convinced I did not pass. I had test anxiety which I never experienced before so I googled all the ways to find out the results sooner. I did the PVT trick 30 mins after I was out of the testing center and again 6 hours later. The good pop up came up saying something like our records indicate you have scheduled this test or whatever. I woke up the next morning (6/13/17) pretty desperate so I checked pearson vue... nothing. Then I checked PA State Board of Nursing at 9 am and went to verify a professional, typed in my name and my RN number was up and active. I am not saying that everyone will experience this it is just another blog post to read when you are freaking out. In PA we have to complete 3 credits of child abuse clearance in order to be issued a license so be sure to complete that prior to taking nclex or, I believe, it could delay PA BON from posting your license.
hi i have question so this is what happened to me i took my nclex june 12 2017 and did the trick 2 days after like yesterday...so when i wan going through all info the site hang up and i push back button and it ask me to "send" so i have to re do the credit card number again and this time my money went through and when i get back to try again it says "candidate has currently an open registration so on...." does it mean i fail?or i can't reregister because i already did have a pending registration that just went through...i know I'm so stupid for doing this but i can't help it. please help!!
Hi guys !!
I just tried to do the trick and I also entered in the wrong CVC and exp. and it said that I recently just took the exam? Does that mean I might have passed ?? I just took it today and I received 83 questions and I counted 25 select ALLs I believe 😳. I'm not sure if the trick works but it said the same thing that I recently just took the test. I'm freaking out !
Thanks
Jen 😃
