Hey all!
I wanted to give a quick update to the Pearson Vue Trick (PVT) 2017. While looking for if the "trick" still worked, I didn't see much updated info, and wanted to hopefully alleviate some stress on new grads. I took NCLEX Jan 10th 2017, and got all 265 questions. I started at 8am and finished around 11am. I came home and cried my eyes out thinking I failed, because I assumed getting all the questions was a bad thing. Long story short I tried the PVT by trying to reregister for nclex at about 2pm (I told myself I was going to wait until the next day, but I just couldn't!). I used a current credit card, but put in the incorrect exp date and cvc. I got the "good popup" but wasn't convinced. The good pop up says something about you have already registered for the test blah blah and will not take your money. I tried again later in the evening, maybe around 6ish and got the same result. I was slightly more hopeful, but still not convinced. In Wisconsin we have an OLAS application website I checked also, and next to my nclex results it turned green and said met. At exactly 8am the next day I got the official email from the State of Wisconsin that I had passed, and contained my RN number. I also bought the quick results which said pass.... Soooo long story short the PVT worked for me in 2017!
What did you get the first time ?
My classmates have all received the good pop up no matter how many questions.
One of my classmates had 75 questions and failed first attempt.
Another classmate had 265 and was not successful. In comparison another classmate had 265 and passed.
My point here is the number of questions, I found doesn't matter.
It's how well you do on the test.
I hope this helps.
And wishing you all the best!
Hey everyone! So I took the NCLEX RN in Michigan 6/20/17 at 8am and was out an hour later after 75 questions. I did the PVT at 3:00pm and got the pop up that my results were on hold. I then waited till 10:30pm to try again and got the good pop up. When I did not see my active license this morning, I panicked and did the PVT two more time today both getting the same good pop up. I called the BON this afternoon and they said they were still waiting on Pearson to send the results. Could this have been because of my "on hold" pop up? Trying to remain calm, but I'm freaking out because people have been seeing their license #s within 24 hours! I do have an insulin pump and when I told the proctor, she made note of it so maybe they wanted to review my tape?

... that is what I am finding on allnurses and about three other websites I came across. Also searched #pearsonvuetrick and noticed others who have passed have also received the same message. I too received the "good popup" when attempting to register again. I checked about 8 hours after the test and few hours after that. I also checked this afternoon and continue to see the "good popup".
This is my second time taking it and the first time I did not receive the "good popup" instead it read CARD DECLINED (worst feeling ever).
Is this your first time taking the NCLEX? If so, if your GN is still showing on the BON, that's if you happen to be in Texas, you PASSED.
However, I am still excited to see my unofficial results!
