Hey all!
I wanted to give a quick update to the Pearson Vue Trick (PVT) 2017. While looking for if the "trick" still worked, I didn't see much updated info, and wanted to hopefully alleviate some stress on new grads. I took NCLEX Jan 10th 2017, and got all 265 questions. I started at 8am and finished around 11am. I came home and cried my eyes out thinking I failed, because I assumed getting all the questions was a bad thing. Long story short I tried the PVT by trying to reregister for nclex at about 2pm (I told myself I was going to wait until the next day, but I just couldn't!). I used a current credit card, but put in the incorrect exp date and cvc. I got the "good popup" but wasn't convinced. The good pop up says something about you have already registered for the test blah blah and will not take your money. I tried again later in the evening, maybe around 6ish and got the same result. I was slightly more hopeful, but still not convinced. In Wisconsin we have an OLAS application website I checked also, and next to my nclex results it turned green and said met. At exactly 8am the next day I got the official email from the State of Wisconsin that I had passed, and contained my RN number. I also bought the quick results which said pass.... Soooo long story short the PVT worked for me in 2017!
First of all, let me just say that God is so good! I just received my license in the mail today and I'm official a licensed practical nurse! I tried the PVT one day after testing and got the "on hold" pop up. A day later, I tried the PVT again and got the "good pop up, "our records indicate"...Well here it is 6 days later and I finally have my license! For anyone that is struggling to pass boards, I highly recommend UWORLD and Nclex mastery app! Those are the main two resources that I used to study. I also read halfway through the Saunders Comprehensive Book but all of the information was very overwhelming. Try to practice as many questions as you possibly can! Believe that you can pass and you will! God bless, and congrats to all of the new nurses out there..including myself!
Took my exam yesterday June 5th and got all 265 questions. I finished in a little over 4 hours and was exhausted. I cried my eyes out once I got to the car because I knew I just failed that exam. I told myself that I wasn't going to try the PVT but I couldn't calm my nerves until I did. So I checked 2 hours later and received the "good pop-up". Although I wasn't convinced that this meant I had passed, it helped me to remain hopeful. Well this morning I checked and I PASSED!! I am in Florida and my license was posted at 7:45 this morning. I am so relieved and hope this gives hope to others who feel like they did horrible after having 265 questions. Try to remain faithful, and pray, pray, pray!!
I took my exam today, the computer shut off after 75 questions. It took me an hour and a half to do 75 questions and I left feeling like I had no idea what the test was about. I felt like I kept having to choose between impossible answers all through the test. I did the PVT and got what I think is the good pop up, but I'm so nervous! I checked the Board of Nursing website but nothing is posted. Praying that I passed!
I took the NCLEX-RN today 6/7/2017 at 2 pm in Oregon. I had 75 questions with quite a few SATA. I felt pretty good about it. After reading a lot of blogs and testimonies, I decided to try the PVT -- with my mom by my side of course. I got the "good" pop up. I'll update when I get my quick results! Feeling hopeful that I passed

Congrats! Wanted to take a minute to comment on something so that you don't end up misleading someone unintentionally. SATA questions aren't anything more than a format, like multiple choice or drag/drop. They aren't indicative of a higher level of question or one with greater difficulty. You can have a very simple question be a SATA so be sure to not pass on that myth. Prioritization questions, too, can be very simple, below-passing level, so that too means nothing.
In your case you were above and below the passing line all throughout the test so it wasn't until the end, when the CAT could determine that you met the passing standard.
PVT, that's another story lol, it works when it matches what your results are :)
congrats again.
