Walden University FNP Program 2019
Hi @meltominoire, I'm actually going to be starting at Walden's MSN NP track 12/9, I wanted to comment because I noticed there weren't any responses yet. Hopefully you started and you're liking the program so far, I wish you well!

Pearson Vue Trick NCLEX RN 2017 265 Questions Wisconsin
Okay so for everyone still panicking (like me), here's my story so far: I took the NCLEX-RN for the first time on 06/07/2017 at 2pm after intense studying for 1 week (repeated Hurst Review week prior and did 100-200 uWorld questions daily) because I want to know my RN status before I start my GN Residency next week. About â…“ of my test was SATA, 2 dosage questions, 3 "order" and 2 exhibit questions. Everytime I answered a SATA question and the next one was MC or "prioritization" (had a ton of these too), I had a miniature panic. I went into the building at about 1:45ish so I'm not sure the exact timing but based on my timer at the top of the screen, it took my about 1 hour and roughly 15 minutes to answer 75 questions. I panicked again (major) when the screen turned blue but there was nothing else I could do except take the end survey and leave. I took no breaks and left the exam feeling numb. My mom drove me to the exam and waited in the car, praying (and crying -- I love her so much I waited about 15 minutes before trying the PVT by entering information from a visa gift card. I got the "good pop up". I did this obsessively for the remainder of the day. When I woke up today (06/08), I attempted the PVT again with all of my valid cc information and am still getting the "good pop up". I know that God is with me and that I shouldn't stress and doubt Him but alas, I am human. I'm going to wait until about 2 am and check to see if I can access the Quick Results by then. It would only be 36 hours but I've seen a lot of people post how it's only taken them 24 hours before they got unofficial AND official results on their BON so I'm going to cross my fingers and hope Texas is quick! I've read almost all the posts on here and I want to thank everyone that posted because reading these have been a good way to make the time pass by and lessening my anxiety. I'll update and let you know what the final results are when I get them! Have a great night everyone!

Good luck all! I would recommend that you get both Jeana and Catherine to calculate your points with you over the phone or in person. They go through a lot of profiles but from my experience, they tend to be a lot more considerate with points when they can hear a human voice on the other line. I'm just gathering the last few things I need before I start this journey, but I'm very excited and I'm excited for all of my fellow cohorts and any future MSU cohorts!

It turns out we don't need to be CPR certified prior to the Spring. All we need is our inoculations up-to-date, our blue cards and ourselves at the Nursing Orientation. We don't even need scrubs, but I'll be buying mine before because I don't want to pay MSU Bookstore price on scrubs that I can get anywhere. I already have my patches so I'll just get all of that out of the way beforehand! Good luck on finals!

I haven't gotten a packet in the mail yet so I'm not sure, but do we have to be CPR certified prior to January? I know the first semester is technically Sophomore II so will MSU be giving us the training on campus? I know they do that at some other programs so just curious...

I registered for my classes a few hours ago! I sent Catherine an email to remove my hold and she got back to me immediately, so just email and let her know you have to complete things! Is anyone else taking Medical Term and Nutrition online so we can be study buddies in the Spring??

Got a email from Jeana with a Word document attached. I had to accept my invitation to join the Spring 2015 cohort, so I did that earlier today! For anyone who is or thinks they may be on the waiting list, all responses from students that were accepted during the first round of acceptances need to be sent by November 25th! That means hopefully you'll get be in the second round of acceptances sent on the 26th... At least I pray so! If not, please don't feel discouraged! They've accepted students up until the first day of classes so I really hope to meet everyone!

I'm actually not sure about that. I just spoke with someone but she said maybe tomorrow, maybe at the end of the week and that she couldn't notify the Director to just remove my hold. I didn't ask her to only remove my hold, I asked her if my hold would be removed within the one business day it says they should be. She finally told me the latest it would take would be by the 13th so there's our answer... hopefully.

@nursingmsu Congratulations!!! I can't wait to see you in the Fall! Lol I feel like all of us are going to start off introducing ourselves with little username tags around our necks! 1. Nope, unless you got accepted into UTA's program and want to politely decline or you need to drop the classes you've entolled for there for the Spring semester (since you can't attend from Wichita Falls ;D) 2. The online Early Orientation available on the MSU website is for any new students that need that orientation hold taken off their account; this includes both Freshmen and transfer students! The whole thing takes about 40 minutes and is fairly easy but good luck!

@brittward I would recommend calling the office that you got your background check done and then go from there! I'm not really sure if we need to physically show WSON our blue cards but just in case we do, it would be best to avoid any problems that'll stop you from beginning the program! Maybe you could also go to your last address and ask for any mail in your name? The post-office may just be holding onto it for you... Did you fill out a form to have all your mail forwarded to your new address for a year?

@breacumby Yes, some of us have. I know I have 70 points and I'm ranked #35 on the list out of the top 70. If you call either Catherine Rudy or Jeana Brunson, they will give you your stats. I would rather know and be prepared for what your response would be than get a response that you may not like and not know why... Good luck!

Tuition payments are due January 9 but you have up until the 12th day of the semester to pay them. I'm very confused by that because Spring Orientation for New Students is scheduled the morning of January 15 and apparently our financial aid will be disbursed beginning January 9 but since we aren't yet enrolled in classes, we won't get anything until after January 15. During the NSO we'll be going down to the WSON and Catherine Rudy will help us enroll in the classes we need. After we enroll in the classes, our financial aid will be disbursed to us. At this point, I would strongly recommend that everyone goes to this website www.mwsu.edu/onlinepayment and set up a direct deposit account so we can all make sure that we get the money immediately on/after January 15 so we can pay for textbooks, uniforms, etc. before January 19th. The Nursing Orientation happens during the first week of classes (the week of January 19th) but they haven't decided on the location yet so we'll find out more about that in the Spring. The move in date of all on campus apartments in January 13 at Noon and since this is prior to the disbursement date for financial aid, we're actually going to be living there (technically) free until we get paid on the 15th. We will get a bill with our total semester balance from the Bursar's Office and if you have aid then that will be paid automatically. Please don't forget to sign up for the Early Orientation/Registration that is scheduled on January 15. Sign up opens in December so please mark your calendars! The earlier you do it, the earlier you get to sign up for your nursing classes and the additional classes you're interested in taking (since the first semester is on 9 credit hours) and the faster you'll get your refund check (which I'm praying we are all eligible for). I know this is a lot of information and it's very confusing (at least to me), so please let me know if something included here isn't very class or call either the WSON, the Housing Office, or the FAO because those are the three sources I got all this information from. Have a great Wednesday everyone!
